It's raining flowers

Hi everyone. Hope you're having a good day. Mine's been ok, but still no stamp-mojo. I actually looked at the daily dare blog in hopes to get inspired, but still couldn't bring myself to create something. Then looking at the Whiff of Joy challenge I remembered I never photographed and shared this card, which fits their challenge of "flowers" but since I made it a little while ago, I am not going to enter it in the challenge.

The card uses the image "willow with umbrella". It was colored with alcohol markers (prisma and copics) and cut out. In place of the raindrops I added flowers which I punched out with my flower trio punch. The designer paper is from DCWV and the sentiment from SU (vases in vogue). To finish off the card I added some stickles and larger flower and did some paper piercing.
Hope you like the card. Now I'm off to check out next week's digital tuesday challenge because I definitely have to do that one. Maybe that'll help me find my mojo.

Just a little side note: Friday 7/31 is the last day you can download the digital stamp oasis image "a happy winter" for free. After that it will only be available for purchase. You can find the freebie image here.

Digital Tuesday #17 - Simplify

Hello and a happy tuesday to all of you. I hope you are having a wonderful day.
Today is tuesday and that means another Digital Tuesday challenge!! Anjou is our challenge host this week and she wanted us to make a clean and simple card, which means fewer layers and fewer embellishments. I have to admit I was so happy for that challenge, because lately I haven't felt like spending a lot of time on a card.

For my card I used a digital border image from Creative Memories. It is a free one and I found it googling. Here's the link to the site if you are interested, they have a lot of freebies.
Anyway, I just printed it on GP white card stock, adhered to basic black and then adhered to the white card base with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment (SU - happy harmony) inside the frame, then added stickles glitter to the small dots, added a couple of prima flowers with a button center and thread. That's it, very simple and very quick to make.

I want to thank you for visting my blog today, and I do hope that you get a chance to play along this week. Dustin Pike is the sponsor this week, and he is giving away 3 of his cute digis!!!

Digital Tuesday #16 Christmas in July

Hello and a happy tuesday! I love the challenge Amy chose for us over at the Digital Tuesday challenge blog.

" Christmas in July"

Because many times I wait until the last minute to make my christmas cards. And that can get hectic at that time of the year!

I made a pretty simple card as I seem to have very
little time for my hobby these days. The image (a limited time freebie from Digital Stamp Oasis) was printed at 3.5 x 5 inches on GP white card stock. I colored it with copics. Then I ran the top and bottom of the paper thru the big kick with swiss dots embossing folder. Adhered to basic black card stock then to sahara sand card base. To finish the card off, I added the sentiment (SU - warm words) with the oval punch, added the snowflake punchouts and a little bit of stickles.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. Be sure to check out the other gorgeous Design Team samples and maybe play along for a chance to win your choice of 3 digital stamp oasis images.
Oh, and the image I used is a freebie from digital stamp oasis throughout the month of July. You can download it here.

ince it's only a little over 6 months until christmas I decided to share a holiday digi stamp with you all today and thru the rest of July. Click on the picture for a larger view then just save it on your computer. For the card I made I printed it at 3.5x5 inches size. I'd love to see your creations with this. Maybe you can leave a comment with a link to your creation? Here is the card I made with it. I followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers but ended up flipping it around. The card also qualifies for the Christmas in July Challenge over at the Whimsy Stamps Challenge. Papers used are GP white, real red, and taken with teal. Image was colored with copics.

Digital Tuesday Challenge #15 - a recipe

Hello and a happy tuesday to all of you. Hope you are enjoying your day!

It is time for another challenge over at Digital Tuesday and this time Shelly is our hostess. She chose a fun recipe for us to use.

Easy as 1-2-3
Use one digital image, 2 designer papers and 3 embellishments.

My digital image is from the digital stamp oasis, one of my favorites, Mushroom Lane-Butterfly. I used copics to color. So fun to color! My two designer papers are both retired from Stampin Up and as embellishments I used a punched out flower, a small halfback pearl and striped ribbon. It sure was challenging for me to use only 3 embellishments, made me realize how many I usually use.
I couldn't help but add some stickles too, but I personally don't consider glitter as an embellishments, but more like an accent. Hope I didn't break any rules.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. Be sure to check out the Digital Tuesday challenge blog to see what the rest of the design team came up with. Maybe you'll even play along for a chance to win some fun images from the Character Cafe, who is sponsoring DTC this week.

Upsy Daisy - inspired by SCS gallery

Here's a card I made yesterday after I looked at the Upsy Daisy gallery. Such beautiful cards. I saw a few similar cards to this one so I thought I'd give it a try.

I used the circle stamp from a old SU set called "Shapes". Inked it up with summer sun ink, and then rolled just the edges of the stamp in pumpkin pie ink and stamped on white card stock. Then I stamped the flower stamps from Upsy Daisy with black ink. I decided that I wanted some sparkles but it was too late to emboss with irridescent powder, so I just added stickles.
I love the sentiment I used. It is from SU's retired set "Beautiful Beach".
Cardstock used are Pumpkin Pie and basic black, along with GP white. Ribbon is Pumpin Pie from SU.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. I'll be back again tomorrow with this week's Digital Tuesday Challenge Card. Plus, I'll be posting a freebie (for a short time only) of a cute digi here too in a couple of days.

Digital Tuesday Challenge #14 ---- Sweet Birthdays

Hello and happy tuesday. Hope you are having a wonderful day!
We have another fun challenge over at the Digital Tuesday challenge blog. This week it is Paula's turn to host the challenge and she chose "Sweet Birthdays" as the theme. Use anything sweet with a birthday theme (cupcake image, decorated for birthday candy bar wrapper - Anything sweet goes)

This challenge was a great reason for me to buy the cupcake monkey images from Dustin Pike. They are just so cute! This was my first time making a stair step card, after seeing Paula's and Anjou's stair step cards a few challenges ago. You can see those gorgeous cards here using My Grafico Images (who is sponsoring the challenge this week). I knew I wanted to try it. I found directions here on SCS. Very simple to make, I am sure I'll be using this fold again and again.
Images were colored with copics and cut out. I adhered them to very vanilla circles. The sentiments are all computer generated. The designer papers are by SU (tempting turquoise prints and au chocolate). I added a little bit of stickles to the sprinkles and cherries.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, I hope you get a chance to create something "sweet" for this challenge. And don't forget, the sponsor this week is My Grafico. They are giving away one of their digi-sets. They have some really gorgeous sets to choose from.
