You are so sweet

Hello and welcome to Day 6 of Whimsy Stamps July Rubber stamp and Die Release Showcase!

On Wednesday (25 July) Whimsy Stamps released this month's new rubber designs, new Shapeology dies and new Shape EZ by TLC. From then until 31 July the Whimsy Stamps DT and Special Guests are showcasing these fabulous new goodies with a daily mini blog hop and I am part of today’s hop!

For today's card I used the stamp set " Touch of Sweetness Notables " from Whimsy's sentiment collection by Raindrop Echo. I just love everything strawberry, so of course I had to have this set! I used the new notables 5 die to cut out my sentiment.

I got out my copics to color the strawberries.

As you can see, I used a couple layers of half doilies. The green one was done using Whimsy Stamps double scallop doily shapeology die, the white one is a store bought doily. After adding the ribbon, I adhered a large prima flower to the ribbon, tucked some flourishes under the flower. The flourishes were cut out using Whimsy's "Vines" die set .

To finish it off I added a simple bow with matching ribbon.

Don't forget to leave comments on all the participating Design Team Members blogs.
You can find them all by clicking HERE.

You have 24 hours to comment, all winners will be announced on August 1st on the whimsy stamps inspirations blog.

Good luck and happy hopping!

I made another scene...

Happy Thursday! Hope you're all doing great! We finally got some much needed rain last night, but now the sunshine is back and we're again at almost 100 degrees.

As you can read in my title, I created another scene on my card, it's just what I love doing right now!

I made this card for the new Digital Pencil (Bella and Bronte's )challenge, which is "In the Dog house", either choose a Mo Manning image with a dog...or choose one that depicts someone in trouble.

I didn't see an image in my Mo Manning collection , that I wanted to use today, so I browsed through her images, and decided to buy this cutie called "Still Summer". I had been wanting to get it before, but somehow never got around it. The link above will lead you to her old store (still active right now), which is where I purchased this stamp, not sure if it is listed in her new store yet. It's one of her older images.

Here is my card.

I thought a brayered background would look nice with the image being the main focal point, so I created my beach scene using a brayer, some inks and stamps. Of course I haven't done much brayerin., so it's nowhere near perfect. Thanks to the wonderful tutorials from Michelle Zindorf, I am able to give this technique a try now and then.

I colored the image using my faber castell polychromos pencils. The dog was cut out separately and adhered with a pop up dot for some dimension.

The sentiment I used is from the set "Summer Oval Letterseals" by Whimsy Stamps. The clouds in the sky are from Memory Box. I simply embellished with a little button and some twine. The added some glitter to the sun, which is part of Whimsy Stamps "Fun in the Sun "Shapeology die (matching the Summer Letterseals stamps).

With this card I am also trying out for the Guest Designer spot at Mo's Digital Pencil. Would love to be part of the fun for 3 months!! Mo's images are just so much fun to color!!

Besides Mo's digital challenge I am also playing along in the C.R.A.F.T.  challenge with the theme of Stitching, at Crafty Ribbons they would like to see "the sea", Dog days of Summer at Delightful Challenges, Crafting for all Seasons wants to see water, and finally Crafty Creations wants to see Buttons.

Thank you all so much for visiting today. I hope you liked my creation!

For my card I used the stamp  Lil Montana from Whimsy 's Elisabeth Bell collection. Such a beautiful stamp, and it was so much fun to color!!

She's been colored using Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and then cut out. I used Whimsy's picket fence die and Martha Stewarts grass punch to create the background. I used one of the stamps from Whimsy's set "Lavish Flourishes" around the top part of the sky.

I embellished with a few butterflies (Martha Stewart punch), and added some rhinestones.
The sentiment is also from Whimsy Stamps from the set "Everyday Sayings Notables 4".

I've combined a few challenges here too:

Hugs and Kisses

It's been a while since I used this cute digi Siku and Shiya by Mo Manning. But I thought it would be perfect to use for this week's Bella and Bronte's challenge which is Hugs and Kisses.

I colored the image  using my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and then cut it out.  It's a pretty simple card, just the style I love at the moment.

I cut out the hills using my old creative memories cutting system. I stamped white snowflakes onto the blue card stock using Stampin up's "itty bitty backgrounds" stamp and white craft ink. The hills were sewed on using sewing machine.

The sentiment is from the set "Winter Notables 1" and it was cut out using the Notables 1 shapeology die.
I added a few snowflakes and some glitter to finish it off.

In addition to Bella and Bronte's challenge I am playing along in a few others, Stampavie and More with the theme of Christmas In Summer, at digital tuesday the challenge is "all tied up", and at Simon Says Stamp and Show... anything goes this week, so I am entering it there too.

That should be about all. Thank you so much for visiting!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Happy Dancing

Ahhh it's been so long since I last made a card! I had family visiting and we spend a few fabulous weeks together, it was sad to say goodbye as usual but it was time for me again to do some crafting! It was not easy to get started again but then I ended up having so much fun!!

I decided to play in Mo's Digital Challenge this week, the theme is "Dancing or Singing". I thought of this image right away, it's one of my favorites, and the girl just looks like she is doing the happy dance. The image reminds me a  lot of my daughter, wearing her favorite tutu and then what better shoes to pick than boots LOL.

She has been colored using my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils.
The papers are from My Minds Eye lime twist line. I just loved the colors and decided to color my image to match the paper.

I simply embellished with some twine and a button, both of which I just cannot seem to stop using for many months now. The sentiment is from one of my favorite Whimsy Sentiment Stamps "Circle Pennants". It was cut out using Whimsy's Circle Pennants die.

Here are the challenges I combined here:
With this card I am also trying out for a guest designer spot at Mo's Digital Challenge, I would love to guest design using Mo's image, they are so much fun to color and create with!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Enjoy the rest of you day!

Fun in the Sun

Hello and Happy 4th of July to everyone in the US. Hope you are enjoying your holiday!

It's Whimsy Stamps Review day today, so hop on over to the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Blog to see some never before seen cards using Whimsy Stamps from our June release.

For my card today I used the stamp set  "To the Beach" by the amazing Ann of Raindrop Echo Designs from Whimsy Stamps. What a fun set to use!! Plus there is also a matching die set available for the flip flops and swim suit, and the sunglasses in the set.

I stamped the "waves" onto the dark blue card stock using white craft ink to create my patterened paper. The waves is one of the stamps in this set. Of course the  flip flos and the sentiment are also from the set.

Added some twine and a sunglasses charm, which is also from Whimsy stamps. Be sure to check out their embellishments, they have some really fun charms for sale, as well as twine, ribbons and flowers, and other fun embellishments for your creations.

And that is about it for today, still enjoying a few more days with my family from overseas, so I don't want to spend much time online at the moment.

Thanks so much for visiting!

PS: Just another quick Whimsy Note, if you like to use cut files, be sure to check out Tammy Louise's brand new "Star Spangled" Shape EZ file!! And don't forget to go see  her amazing creation using this file on Whimsy's Inspirations Blog.

Summer Blooms for Penny Black and More July Challenge

Good morning everyone and Happy Sunday! Hope you are all doing well!

We have a new challenge for you over at Penny Black and More. This month our theme is

"Summer Blooms".

For my card today I used the super adorable stamp "Poppy field" from penny black of course. I just love this stamp and thought it would be perfect to use, but now I have to admit I am not sure if Poppies actually bloom in summer....Can you tell I don't know a whole lot about flowers??

I stamped the image on sky blue card stock, then colored it using my faber castell polychomos. Cut it out using a circle nestabilities shape and my big kick, and then matted it onto a scallop circle nestabilities shape. This was then adhered to the designer paper (from a DCWV stack which I got at Joann's a long time ago), then adhered it to my white card front. I did some sewing along the designer paper edges.

The sentiment is from a clear Penny Black set (Critter party). I repeatedly stamped it on a white strip of cardstock, then stamped it once again and cut it out using a Notables shapeology die from Whimsy Stamps. This was then adhered to the strip of card stock with dimensionals and I added some tiny pearls on each side of the shape. To finish it off I added a little bow with a sticky dot.

And that's about it, I hope you liked my card.

If you'd like to play along with us this month simply click the logo below to go directly to the challenge blog. Would love if you'd join us!

Designing for
Plus there are some amazing prizes up for grabs again, but you can't win if you don't play. You don't have to use a Penny Black stamp either, all we ask that your main image is a STAMPED image, it doesn't matter what brand.

Thanks for stopping by!
