Wings or Tails at Allsorts challenge

Hello and welcome!

It's my turn to host this week at Allsorts challenge and all are invited to join us! I selected the the fun theme of "Wings and/or Tails" and as I love all kinds of animals and winged things, I cannot wait to see what you will share with us this week! We have 2 fantastic prizes this week, a stamp set by AALL and Create (Follow your Path) and a choice of 3 digis from Ruth Hamilton Design

I decided to use a cute stamp from Penny Black's set "Gather Around".

I used a mix of Zig Clean Color brush markers and Distress inks for coloring. The patterned paper is a scrapbook. com exclusive - Watercolor Christmas 02 which is a 6x6 paper pack containing 12 beautiful double sided papers. I used stardust Stickles glitter for some sparkles on the ornaments. The sentiment is from this Colorado Craft stamp set Wonderful Time. I used a retired Whimsy Stamps die to cut it out. The ribbon is from my stash, I thought it was a perfect match. I also used some silver twine to tie around the ribbon on both sides of the sentiment.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Trees and/or Leaves for Allsorts Challenge

Hello and welcome!

A new theme starts today at Allsorts challenge and it's Dena's turn to host. She chose the optional theme of "Trees and/or Leaves". Hope to see you playing along with us for your chance to win. We have a £15 store voucher from Wowvow and stencil to give away this week, so there will be 2 prizes.

I had my Lavinia stamps out from another project I was working on so I decided to stamp a scene using some Lavinia stamps.

I used Lavinia's Hills mask set to ink up the background with a circle die cut in place to mask the moon. I used Chipped Sapphire and Seedless Preserve Distress inks. After removing the moon I used Penny Black's Hypnotic stencil with light touch of Seedless Preserves ink.

Related Products:

Silhouette stamps are Lavinia Stamps Valco and Fairy Fir Tree small, Penny Black Nature's Friends for branches, Hero Arts birds from a retired Stamp Kit and the sentiment comes from Penny Black's Happy Critters set. All stamping was done using Versafine Onyx ink.

It's not showing up on any of the photos but I used a Sakura Stardust clear glitter gel pen on the fir trees to make them sparkle.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Handmade Card for 80th Birthday

Hello and welcome!

It's time already for a new theme at Allsorts challenge and it's Lorraine's turn to host. She chose the theme of "Add a Number" but it's optional so you are welcome to join us with all of your new crafty makes for a chance to win! This week we have a £15 store voucher from Stamp Addicts  for one lucky winner!

I made a card for a special milestone birthday using shiny numeral chipboard stickers as the focal point. I've had this Alphabet/Number chipboard sticker set for a while, you may find something similar at your local craft store otherwise there are also some options available here at Scrapbook.com or at Amazon.

I added some stars on the background using a retired stamp set and die set in shades of blue and green. The edges were inked with a Versamark ink pad then I sprinkled copper embossing powder onto the versamark ink to heat emboss with a heat tool. The copper embossing powder was a perfect match for the chipboard stickers.

The birthday sentiment is part of a Penny Black critter set, I like this font for masculine cards. A retired die from Whimsy stamps was used to cut it out. I like the style of this die as it's made for sliding ribbon (or a paper strip) through the slots for a little extra detail.

Sparkle and Shine with Deer in Tree Die

It's time already for a new theme at Allsorts challenge. Mervi is hosting this week and she would like to see "Sparkle and/ or Shine". Our prize this week is a beautiful A4 sized Rare Earth stamp set called Afternoon Tea, so hopefully you will join us for your chance to win!

I made another CAS Christmas card with a beautiful die as the focal point. This is Penny Black's Deer in Tree die released a few years ago.

A very simple card to make, I inked the Bristol Smooth card stock with Everygreen Bough Distress Oxide ink, flicked some white spatter onto the card using a  white Posca pen then stamped Penny Black's Christmas Story stamp on the bottom third of the card using the same ink before adding the die cut. I used gold card stock to cut it out.

October Card Chain Challenge Reveal Day

This is my second post for the day. If you are here for Ellibelle's Crafty Wednesday challenge, please click HERE.

I hadn't joined in the Card Chain Challenge for a few months but I decided to sign up for their October card exchange and today is reveal day! In case you are unfamiliar with the Card chain challenge: it is a different kind of a challenge where each participant sends and received a card. There are several challenge options given like a sketch, color option, themes, techniques etc. This month I went with the theme of Fantasy Folk.

My card went to Julia in Massachusetts.

I recently got a new gnome stamp set - Garden Gnomes by Inkadinkado - and thought it would be perfect for a card featuring "Fantasy Folk". The image has been colored using my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils in shades of green and brown which is one color scheme I love for fall cards.

I used Penny Black's stamp Birches on the backround stamped with Pumice Stone Oxide ink. I added a die cut "hill" using a retired Whimsy Stamps die, but there are several other options available. I used Rustic Wilderness Oxide ink to ink up the hill.

The sentiment is from Penny Black's sentiment set Friendship. A Martha Stewart punch was used to cut out the leaves, I inked them with distress inks and scored in the middle for some detail. Jute twine finish off the card.

This beautiful card below I received from Chris in Illinois. I absolutely love it with these gorgeous fall colors and I love seeing it on my mantle!

If you would like to sign up and join in at Card Chain Challenge, there are still a few days left to do so. You do need to be able to make and send a card so it arrives at its destination by November 30th. All details can be found here

I'm sure some of you are getting tired of me sharing about the year in review hop where we will share our own favorite creations of 2022, but still looking for more participants. If it sounds like something you might be interested in, please visit this link.
