Just a note...

Good morning, here I am with another Whimsy Stamps new release creation! Thanks so much for visiting!

It's day 4 of the June rubber stamp and die release blog hop! I hope you were able to hop along the last 3 days for a chance to win, if not you still have a few more days to enter into a drawing.

Here is my card for today. I  used the stamp "piggy bath" from Whimsy's Meljen's Designs collection.

I am really enjoying creating these scene-type of cards, and I think the Meljen's stamps are just perfect for that purpose.

I had a double scallop circle doily diecut laying around, from when I played around with it when I first got it last month, and since it was the color yellow, I thought it would look cute as a sun. So I cut it to fit the corner and turned it into my sun. It's such an amazing die!!

The clouds were done using the Puffy Cloud dies from memory box. And I used the Martha Stewart grass punch for the grass, as well as one of her butterfly punches.

The sentiment that I used here is also from Whimsy Stamps from the set "Ticket Notes". I really wish I would have used the ticket die to cut it out, but I didn't think about it until just now while I type this.

To finish my card off I embellished with a button and some twine, which I got from Whimsy Stamps Embellishments corner. They have several colors to choose from! I don't know about anyone else, but I sure am addicted to using twine!

 Don't forget:
Each mini blog hop has a new release prize hidden somewhere along the way and you have 24hrs to enter each prize draw. To be entered into today's mini blog hop prize draw, be sure to leave a comment on ALL of the DT's posts by 12.00PM EST tomorrow. You can find the complete list of hop stops at the Whimsy blog. All winners will be announced there on Thursday next week! Good luck!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Fluffy hang in there

Hello and thanks so much for stopping by!
It's day 3 of  Whimsy Stamps  June Rubber Stamp and Shapeology Die release Blog Hop. So excited to be part of it today too!

Here is my card for today, using the super adorable Stamp "Fluffy hang in there".
What a cutie!!!

I decided to go with a yellow and gray color combo. Again, I colored the image with my Faber Castell polychromos pencils.

I used a simple sketch, just wanted to keep the image as the focal point.
The sentiment that I used here is also from Whimsy stamps from a previous release,  it's from the set "Everyday Sayings Notables 4".
I added a simple bow as an embellishment and a tiny bit of glitter to the flower centers.

Don't forget to there is a prize up for grabs from one of the showcasing blogs today. To be entered into today's drawing just be sure to leave a comment on all of the participating DT members blogs today (you can find the complete list HERE) by noon EST tomorrow. All winners from this release will be announced tomorrow on Whimsy's Inspirations blog.

It's a baby

Hello and thanks so much for visiting!

Today is day 2 of Whimsy Stamps New Release Showcase and mini hop, and I decided to be part of the mini hop today! Be sure to visit the Whimsy Inspirations blog if you haven't seen the new goodies for June yet.

For today's card I used the the super adorable "Baby Stork" from Whimsy's Meljen's Designs Rubberstamp collection.

I used my Faber Castell Polychromos Pencils for coloring.
After coloring the image, I used my cutterbee scissors to cut it out.

I made the grass/hill with a creative memories cutting system. The clouds were cut out with a cloud die by Memory Box (Puffy Cloud die). I did some sewing, added the sentiment (from The Angel Company) and to finish it off I added a simple button with some twine.

Don't forget,  there is a prize up for grabs from one of the showcasing blogs today. To be entered into today's drawing just be sure to leave a comment on all of the participating DT members blogs today (you can find the complete list HERE) by noon EST tomorrow. Summer Dreams...

Good morning and happy Wednesday! Hope your week is going good so far!

I made today's card using one of Whimsy Stamps May Release Rubberstamp set by Crissy's Designs. The set is called "Summer Garden Carousel". It's such a beautiful set, and includes the carousel horse plus 4 sentiments.

As you can see I cut the horse out after stamping it, and  it is now no longer a carousel horse. It just worked better this way with the card design I had in mind.

It was a simple card to make, I simply cut out a nestablities shape from the designer paper. The sentiment which is part of this set was stamped onto white card stock, and I layered the designer paper onto the white card stock. Added a little bit of ribbon, then adhered the horse with dimensionals. To finish it off I sewed around the edges and added some glitter.

I would love to enter my card to the following challenges:
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoy the rest of your week!

Penny Black and More - Favorite things

Happy Sunday and thanks so much for visiting!!

It's the first Sunday in June, and if you have been following my blog then you know what that means...a new challenge over at Penny Black and more, which again means new prizes to be won! I hope you'll join us!

This should be an easy one for everyone, it's

"Favorite things".

It was hard to choose a favorite Penny Black stamp because I really love them all! So I just went with one of the very first PB stamps that I purchased, it's called "Water Lily Skiing".

I colored it using my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils, which is another one of my favorite products. I just love how bright the colors turn out. And they are so easy to blend.

I did another brayered background on this card...still learing how to do do it correctly, but I guess it's not too bad.

The image was stamped twice, once onto white cardstock, colored  and then cut  out, then the second time I stamped it onto the brayered background and adhered the cut out image to it.

The palm trees in the foreground are from an old Stampin Up set.

I used a sentiment  from the set "Summer Letter Seals" by Whimsy Stamps.
I am entering the card to the following challenges:

Remember you don't have to use a penny black stamp, any company rubber or clear stamp works. Can't wait to see what your favorites are!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
