New Stamps in my Shop!

Hi everyone! No card at the moment, just wanted to mention that I finally received my wholesale order from Penny Black and new stamps and a couple dies are now added to my

Almost everything is from the latest Sunshine and Smiles release. The Baby Hammock is an old Penny Black stamp, but sold out so quickly last time I had it available, that I decided to re-order it too. It seems to be a popular stamp for baby cards.

 Two thin metal dies

Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you all have a great start of the new week. I am hoping to share a card soon too, as I plan on playing along in Kathy's the daily marker 2 day 30-day coloring challenge :-)

Blossom and butterfly

I found some time yesterday morning to play with some stamps, and so I made this card. Wish I had photographed it yesterday too...it's a rainy day here today, and it's so hard to get a good photo on rainy days.

All stamps are from Just For Fun Rubber Stamps. Some of them I just received in my latest Design Team packet, and some of them I've  had for longer and used before.

The dark paper and stamping on the right side corner on my card is actually a dark brown, it appears black or navy blue on my screen. I will have to photograph this again, once the sun comes out - but not sure if that's going to happen today. The little flower was fussy cut after coloring, and then adhered to the card with dimensionals. The leaves behind the flowers are from a larger stamp, I simply cut those two out to place behind the flower. Die cut behind sentiment is from Whimsy. Butterfly was done using a Martha Stewart punch.

Product List:
(all stamps above are from JFF)
Notables 5 die (Whimsy Stamps) , MS butterfly punch
sticky pearls, brad,
Memento and Distress inks

I would also like to play along here:

Simply Create Too -  Keep It Simple
 Penny's Paper-Crafty - Anything Goes
Ruby's Rainbow - May Blossoms and Butterflies

Flowers in my Pocket

Very happy to say that I feel so much better! I spent a nice Memorial Day with my family, then on Tuesday I forced myself to start exercising again after taking a week off. That and letting out some tears really helped me...I hate when I get so emotional, but luckily it doesn't happen very often!

The cute pocket stamp is a new one from Whimsy Stamps' latest release. This one was illustrated by Meljen's Designs.
The pocket and flowers have been stamped onto copic blending card, colored and fussy cut. I  stamped the image again onto designer paper and then adhered the pocket to the card, but leaving the glue off on the top part, so I could stick something inside the pocket. I didn't have any real tickets at home, so for the photo I used one of Whimsy's older ticket sentiments to put a couple tickets into the pocket. The "a gift for you" sentiment is from a more recent set "Happy Birthday". I embellished with a little button, some twine, and washi tape on the left side.

Here is a closeup. I got the texture on the jeans pocket by coloring a piece of scrap jeans with a copic blender and then simply pressed the fabric onto my copic colored image. (Huge thanks to my blogging and DT friend Danni for the wonderful tip!)

Couple Silhouette

Today I have a Wedding or Anniversary  card to share, using stamps from Just for Fun Rubber Stamps. I love silhouette stamps, and had to add this dancing couple to my stamp collection.

I was going to heat emboss the image, but after trying several times, and just kept getting embossing powder elsewhere on the card (although I used an embossing buddy), I simply used versafine onyx ink to stamp the image.

I masked the circle using a diecut circle, and then inked using distress ink. I used the background stamps before removing the circle, as I wanted it to be just white.
Designer paper is from DCWV, I had it forever, so I don't know anymore which stack it's from. Sentiment is also from JFF. I embellished with some sticky rhinestones to finish off the card.

You can find the JFF Rubber Stamps here:
Main image: Couple Silhouette,
Background stamps: Ironwork Sketch, Tempo (music note), Michelanglo script

JFF has a sale going on a the moment, but it ends soon!
And don't forget, these stamps are available in wood mounted, cling mounted or unmounted rubber

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!!

Flowers and Dies using Penny Black Stamps

Happy Monday and thanks so much for visiting! It's time to share some well overdue Penny Black stamps creations. One was made for our Midmonth reminder at Penny Black and More, where our theme is "Dies and Punches".

It's the Mother's Day card, I made for my Mother-in-Law, and since I wanted to use it for today's post, I didn't share it earlier.
The stamp I used here  is called "Demure" and is available in my Etsy *stamp* shop. For my dies and punches I used a nestabilities die set, and I  a MS butterfly punch. I embellished with sticky pearls and gold glitter. The embossing was done using a cuttlebug embossing folder. Sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.

Sugar and Spice

Friday already, this week just flew by like crazy!
I finally have a card to share, it's been way too long since I sat down to make something...but I had some time yesterday morning to ink up this cutie from Whimsy's Wee stamps.

I stamped with memento ink on xpress it blending card, and colored with copics. I also used a faber castell polychromos pencil for some of the hair.
My colors were inspired by the mix of pansies I have growing in my backyard :-)
I decided to use several circles in my design. Sentiments are all from the set "Girl Talk" from Whimsy Stamps. The button was from the latest release, and is part of a 4 button die set. I embellished with little prima flowers and some sticky pearls, and then added some glitter to the wings.

Watercolored Dragonfly

Good Morning! I should have posted this card yesterday, but apparently I forgot to publish the post, so it was just in draft mode.
It was my turn yesterday to share a creation on the Just For Fun Rubber Stamps blog, and this is what I made.

The Dragonfly was stamped onto mixed media card stock, colored with watercolors and then fussy cut. For the background I used one of JFF's newer frames, masked the edges off after stamping it, and watercolored the center. I used one of the script stamps for the words inside the square.
Sketch is pretty simple. I just adhered my mixed media rectangle onto blue card stock, added the strips of designer paper and paper pierced. Glitter was added to the dragonfly.

Hope you have a fabulous weekend with lots of sunshine :-)

Born to Shop :-)

Funny title from someone who actually doesn't enjoy shopping at all :-) It's just too time consuming...

This fun, girly stamp is from last month's Whimsy Stamps rubber stamp release. When I selected her as one of my choices, I knew I wanted to use the city scape background from a stamp set released last fall.

I wanted the city scape to kind of "fade" in the background, and my ink that doesn't like solid stamps actually helped here :-) I used a stencil on the bottom part of the card for the street.
The image has been stamped with memento black ink and colored with copic markers. I also used a dark brown faber castell polychromos pencil for the hair, along with copics.
The designer paper is really old, I think it's by basic grey. I have so much designer paper, and seem to be using less and less of it too. I might have to challenge myself to use more of it, so I can use some up.
Sentiment is from another favorite Whimsy Sentiment set - Girl Talk. The card is simply embellished with ribbon and twine.
I am playing along here:

Products used:
(all by Whimsy Stamps)
Neenah Card Stock, SU card stock, Basic Grey papers (I think)
SU ink, memento ink
twine, ribbon, stencil
copics and pencil for coloring

Dies and Punches for Penny Black and More - May Challenge

Hello everyone! It's the first Sunday of the month, so it's time for a new
Penny Black and More challenge.
This month we'd like to see you use your punches and/or dies. I hope you'll play along, as always we have some wonderful prizes to give away from some very generous sponsors. Of course we'd love if you used a Penny Black stamp but it is not a requirement. You can use any brand of stamps, just no digi stamps.

For today I used the super adorable stamp "Furry Flight" which is from the "Bring on the Happy" release. I just had to have this stamp, and I do have it available for sale (brand new) in my Etsy Stamps shop :-)

After coloring the image I decided to fussy cut them all out :-) I know it was a lot of work, but luckily I enjoy fussy cutting. I didn't have to cut into all the little "hairy" spots, because after adhering the hills, I simply stamped the image again onto my background (covering up the little hill with trees part of the stamp) and then I just glued on the cut out images over the stamped image. So I was able to get all the small hair details/whiskers without having to do all that work cutting.

The sentiment is from the set "snippets" which includes a lot of little fun sentiments, but this one might be my favorite one. I just love how perfectly it goes with this image.
For my punches/dies I used Whimsy's stitched border trio - I love this die set, it's so perfect to create these type of cards with! I also used Martha Stewart's grass border die to add some grass.

 Product List:
Furry Flight, Snippets
(both available in my shop for US shipping)
stitched border die set (Whimsy Stamps)
SU papers, xpress it blending card, neenah
prima flowers, sticky pearls, washi tape
copics for coloring

Lazy Kitty - Life is Good

Happy Friday and Happy May 1st! This year is flying by way too fast! I hope you're having a wonderful sunny day! We are having some beautiful springtime weather over here in the midwest today, and hopefully it'll stay this way for a few days...

I finally have a new card to share with you, using a new stamp from Whimsy Stamps' April release. This cutie is from the Crissy Armstrong collection - Lazy Kitty.

I stamped the image using Neenah card stock and got out my Derwent Coloursoft pencils for coloring, blended with baby oil.
The card is very simple, I cut out a frame using a nestabilities shape and placed it over my colored image. Then stamped the sentiment, which comes with this stamp :-) Added a strip of designer paper and then some twine to finish it off.
I am playing along here:
Brown Sugar –  Anything Goes
