For my card today I uses the super sweet stamp
"Christmas Pony" from Whimsy's Crissy Armstrong collection.

It has been stamped with Memento ink onto neenah card stock and colored using Faber Castell polychromos pencils and copics for the face.

The gorgeous designer papers are all from  Whimsy Stamps Michelle R. "Winter Blues" set just released.
I embellished with some seam binding and twine, and added a little apple charm. Thought this card would be a great card to give to my child's teacher for christmas. The twine and the apple by the way are also available at Whimsy Stamps in their "Embellishments" corner.
The sentiment on this card is from an older set from last year's "Christmas Stockings sentiments" set, also from Whimsy Stamps.
To finish it off, I sewed around the edges, then added some glitter.

Hello and welcome to Day 3 of Whimsy Stamps October Rubber Stamp & Die Release Showcase!
On Wednesday (Oct. 24 ) Whimsy Stamps released this month's new rubber designs, Shapeology dies, Whimsy Designer Paper packs and Shape EZ templates. From then until October 30th. the Whimsy Stamps DT and Special Guests are showcasing these fabulous new goodies with a daily mini blog hop and I am part of today’s hop! Each mini blog hop has a new release prize hidden somewhere along the way you have 24hrs to enter each prize draw.

For my card today I uses the super cute stamp
"Stocking Kitten" from Whimsy's Meljen's Designs Rubber stamp collection.

Love this stamp, now that I made my card with it, I wish I had gotten the puppy too. They are just so stinking cute!!

I stamped this image a couple of times and cut out everything once, then I cut out the kitty's head, paws, scarf and holly leaf so I could pop them up with dimensionals.

The designer paper is from Whimsy Stamps new paper pack release "Winter Blues" by Michelle Roos Designs.
I used more of the Holiday Mini Tickets on today's card from Whimsy's Raindrop Echo Designs. The mini ticket die was used to cut them out. You can find this die and many others like the "Holly and berries die" used in the bottom right corner on my card in Whimsy's Shapeoplogy die section.
I also decided to use a postmark stamp from last year's "Holiday Postage stamp set".
It's another quite simple card, embellished with just some twine and sewing, and alittle bit of glitter.

This will include a selection of DT work from the new release week together with a complete list of winners from the daily mini blog hops.

For today's card I used the super sweet stamp
"Sheltering Love" from the Crissy Armstrong collection.

I stamped the image a couple of times because I wanted to pop up the cute little cubs. The mama bear's hat and scarf were paper pieced using papers from Michelle Roos Designs (available only at Whimsy Stamps), which were also just released today. I created a little bit of a hill with white card stock and my old creative memories cutting system. It was adhered onto another sheet of beautiful paper from Whimsy Stamps Michelle R. designs papers. I just love this paper so much, thought it would be perfect to  use as a background scene for the bears.

The sentiment is from the set "Holiday Mini Tickets" from Whimsy's Raindrop Echo Designs.  The mini ticket die was used to cut it out. You can find this die and many others in Whimsy's Shapeoplogy die section.
It's a pretty simple card, I simple embellished with some twine and did some sewing. To finish it off I added a little bit of glitter.  Hope you like it!

Santa and Penguin

Hello and thanks so much for stopping by!

I made today's card for the current ABC challenge - Z is for Zoo, combined with a few others.
I decided to dig out my Craft UK stamp set "Santa and Penguin". As you can see my animal is a cute little Penguin, Santa's little friend.

I edited my blog post to add another card. This was actually the card that I had first in mind, using this cute stamp "Santa and Penguin" by Craft UK, but then I decided to make the other one below this one, to use the colors of red and green instead of the blue.

Now seeing both cards, I think I like this one below more.

To make the card above, I tore some white card stock and adhered it onto the designer paper to create a hill. The image was then adhered onto that card front. Like on the card below, I used the same sentiment, and added a snowflake which was made using one of Whimsy Stamps' layered snowflakes dies, with little clear heart shaped button and some silver cord. I am not sure who the maker of the Designer paper is, I just found it in my stash, it might be by the Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.

Also, I was asked by a few people where I purchased this stamp set, I personally bought it off ebay (UK site), and when I did a google search I saw that it is available at this store in the UK, but I have never ordered from that store, and have no idea if this is a reliable store.

Here is the first card that I made using this stamp.

I stamped the image onto Neenah card stock, then colored with my faber castell polychromos pencils. The image has then been completely cut out. The designer paper is from a really old pack by Stampin Up. I added the sentiment which is also part of the set by Craft UK, then a little bit of ribbon.
to finish it off I did some sewing and added a little bit of glitter. The image was then adhered onto the embossed white paper.

I am combining a few other challenges here too:
As mentioned above, ABC challenge - Z is for Zoo animal, at ABC Christmas Challenge anything goes, so I am entering it there too. At Stampavie and More they want to see stitches, Bows or ribbon at Crafty Sentiments, Things with Wings at Top Tip Tuesday, and then  at Stamp and Create the theme is Winter Wonderland. Totally Stampalicious  has the theme of Christmas, and at Cute Card Thursday the theme is Gitter.

Thanks again for stopping by!
Hope you are enjoying the rest of your day!

Penny Black and More - October Challenge and GD search

Good morning and happy Sunday!!

It's the first Sunday of a new month and that means of course that we have a new challenge over at penny black and more! Plus, starting last month already, we will be on the lookout for a guest designer to join us each month.
To be considered, all you have to do is add GD next to your name. It is not required for you to use a Penny Black image, but we do ask that the main focal image has to be a rubber or clear stamp, not a digital stamp.  The chosen Guest Designer will then join the team for the following month.

Our challenge this month is
"Animal Magic".

I decided to use the stamp "Skip and Romp".  Isn't this a fun image!! Kind of like a barnyard party!
I thought the sentiment "Life of the Party" from Whimsy Stamps "Celebration Circle Sentiments" would be perfect to use.

The papers are from My Mind Eye, I just got the 6x6 pack recently at Hobby Lobby along with a few others.

It's a pretty simple card, I layered the image onto some kraft card stock, then the designer paper, and then again onto a kraft card base. Embellished with some twine, and a button, and did some sewing.
The image was colored with faber castell polychromos pencils.

I would love to enter this to the following challenges:
Thanks again for visiting! I hope you'll get a chance to play along with us this month for a chance to win one of our amazing prizes by:
Penny Black, Stampalot, Letraset, Little Darlings, Joanna Sheen, &Crimson Cloud.

A little snowman

Good morning and thanks so much for stopping by!
Happy World Card Making Day!!

Penny Black, Inc. has a sketch challenge this weekend to celebrate World Card Making day, so I decided to play along.

This is the sketch

And this is my take on it.
I used the super cute snowman from the clear set "holly jolly". It's been colored with faber castell polychromos, and then cut out. I adhered him onto a scallop circle.

The designer paper is something I purchased last year, and I don't remember anymore who the maker is. The sentiment is also from the same PB set, and the poinsettia is from another PB clear set. I also colored it with my pencils and then cut out.

I'd like to combine a few challenges here:
Enjoy your weekend!!

And if you'd like to add me as a friend, you can do so by clicking here.
I created a new facebook account just for my hobby and am posting all my card there as well.

*******************************

I made this card using one of the new September stamps from Whimsy Stamps.

This cutie is called "Holly" and it's from the Wee Stamps collection.

I colored her using my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and then some copics for the skin tones.
I used  papers from my stash, not sure who makes them, but they came from a 6x6 paper pack that I purchased last year.

The sentiment is from the september release too, from the set "Holiday Notables 2". I cut it out using the notables 2 die, and then layered it onto the new "Snowflakes notable 2 die.

I embellished with some ribbon, a couple layered snowflakes using the Whimsy Stamps layered snowflake die, and a MS punch, and to finish it off I added some glitter. Oh, and the flourishes that you can see by the snowflake are made with one of Whimsy Stamps' leafy corner dies.

I hope you liked my card. If you'd like to see some more new Whimsy cards created with the sept. stamps, then stop by the Whimsy Stamps inspirations blog!

I am entering my card to the following challenges:
Thank you again for stopping by! I hope you are enjoying the rest of the day. I have lots of cleaning to do since I had to work until late last night, and hubby and the kids like to leave a mess for me clean up on the days that I work :-) Good thing I only work part time!
