My first Tiddly Inks

I just bought this cute digital stamp yesterday. It is my first Tiddly Ink image, and this one was so much fun to color!!

I used my Faber Castell polychromos pencils on Neenah solar crest card stock. The papers are from My Mind's Eye and Prima Marketing, and then Crumb Cake card stock from Stampin Up.

tiddlyinks

The sentiment is from a new set by Whimsy Stamps (Circle Celebration Pennants).
I embellished this with a few prima flowers, sticky pearls, a clear button and some linen thread, and glitter. To finish it off I did some sewing with my janome mini. Please excuse the messy stitches. My machine started to act strange in the middle of it.

This week the challenge at Tiddly Inks is "Birthday Bash", and I would love to enter it there. I am combining this with the challenge at Do You Stack Up with the theme of sewing. At Digital Tuesday the theme is "your favorite color", and I have to say that at the moment I love to use the color kraft, and of course pink and aqua have always been some of my favorite colors. At the Catered Crop the challenge is "Stitching", so I will enter it there too.

And that is all for today, I will be back again Sunday with my new Penny Black and More card for our April challenge. Hope you'll check back then!

Have a great day!!

To make my card for today, I used the adorable new stamp "Lemon Pepper" by Elisabeth Bell.

She has been colored using Faber Castell Polychromos Pencils.
I used a sketch from an older challenge at Raise the Bar. Love this sketch, and have been wanting to try it forever, just didn't have any time yet or the right image.

Papers are from My Minds Eye. I embellished with some die cut flowers (using the flowers and leaves die by MFT), some brads, and ribbon. The sentiment is from the brand new set "Celebrations circle pennats" by Whimsy Stamps. I used the new Whimsy Stamps circle pennant die to cut it out. The yellow fence is also a brand new die from this month's Whimsy Stamps release.
The grass was cut using Martha Stewart's grass punch.

I hope you like my card for today.

I am entering it to the following challenges:

Here is my card for today's showcase. I used the stamp"Birthday cupcake" from the Meljen's Designs Collection, along with a stamp from the new set "Vintage Birthday Tabs 1" from Whimsy's Raindrop Echo Designs. Of course the sentiment was cut out using the tabs 1 die.

Photobucket

What a fun stamp to color and create with!!

I used my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils to color. Part of the cupcake was stamped twice and then cut out and adhered with pop up dots.

The papers are from My Minds Eye and Stampin Up.

I wanted to play along in this week's My Favorite Things Weekly Sketch Challenge again, so I decided to follow their sketch to make my card. Here is what this week's sketch looks like.

I used an oval shape instead of a rectangle, and my bow is on the top right instead of teh bottom left, I thought these changes fit better into my design. But other than that it is about the same sketch.

I would like to enter this to a few more challenges:

My Favorite Things Challenge

I finally figured out where to find the weekly sketches for My Favorite Things, and since I really liked this week's sketch I thought I'd play along. Somehow I had a hard time making this card though, for some reason it took me almost 5 days to finally complete it. I actually almost gave up on it.

And that although I used one of my all time favorite stamps!

Anyway, the stamp is by Penny Black, called "Guess What". I colored it with my faber castell polychromos pencils. Papers are from Basic Grey and Bo Bunny (I think). Card stock is from Stampin up and Neenah.

The border in the middle was done using a die from My Favorite Things. Embellished with some ribbon, linen thread, and a button.

I am entering my card to the following challenges:
Thanks for visiting!

Soooo many presents

I had this image sitting around forever but never had a chance to make a card with it. And since I really wanted to color today, I decided to make a birthday card too.

This is a digi from Cuddly Buddly. I was one of the lucky winners back when they still did challenges. And this was one of the images I picked as my prize. It's so cute and just perfect for boys cards.

I kept it pretty simple, since I don't really have too much time today, and I like simpler cards at the moment anyway.

The image was colored with my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils. Papers are from Stampin Up, Neenah, and designer paper is from My Minds Eye. Did some sewing around the edges, and then I added some ribbon and a button with some linen thread.

The sentiment is from the set "Party mini letter seals" by Whimsy Stamps, another one of my favorite Whimsy Stamps sentiments.

I am entering this to the following challenges:

And that is all for today! Thanks so much for visiting!

Time to Party

Hi everyone!

Here is a card I made using Whimsy Stamps new rubber stamp Party Time Cat by meljen's designs. Love this stamp!! I used to have him in digi-format until my laptop broke and this was one of the digis that I had lost. Soooo excited that I have him in rubber now!

This cat just cracks me up and he reminds me so much of my own cat Thomas. Although this time I colored him in gray (Thomas is an orange tabby.)

I colored him with my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils. After stamping and coloring the image, I cut it out and added the silver cord to the balloons. Two of the balloons were popped up with dimensionals, and I added some glassy glaze for a shiny finish. I stamped SU's itty bitty background stamp around the circle.

The papers are all from my stash, they are probably by the paper studio from Hobby Lobby. But I could be wrong.

The ticket sentiments are from Whimsy's set "Celebrations mini tickets", and I used the mini ticket die to cut them out. The corners are from a new set of shapeology dies, just released last month "Corners shapeology dies". It's a set of 4 dies.

I am entering this card to the following challenges:

Thanks so much for stopping by today. If you'd like to see some more whimsy creations, please visit the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations blog as today is Whimsy Stamps Review Day featuring new projects made with Whimsy's last month's release and Elizabeth Bell special release.

~ Apple Blossom ~ ~ Chloe ~

~ Picked Sweet ~ ~ Sun Kissed ~

The Whimsy Stamps DT and Special Guests have been previewing these beautiful stamps for the past 2 days, and today we are celebrating their release with a BLOG HOP!

The hop starts today (Wednesday March 7th at 12.00PM EST) and ends on Wednesday March 14th at 12.00PM EST.

For this hop we have five different prize draws! One lucky hopper will win the entire new release of ALL four stamps. We also have four mini candy stops throughout the hop where you can enter to win a new release stamp! We're not telling you where they are, so be sure to complete the hop to find them!

If you arrived here from Beate's beautiful blog then you are in the right place, if not and you would like to hop along with us today,

please CLICK HERE to start the hop at Debbie's blog.

For my card today I used the stamp "Chloe".

I used my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils for coloring, and I can tell you this one was just as much fun coloring as the "Picked Sweet" image from yesterday's sneak peek.

I used a pretty simple sketch here, the blue designer paper is by stampin up, and the pretty strip of paper is by DCWV. I placed a paper doily behind the image. I really wanted to add more flowers, but they just looked like they took away from the the beautiful image, so I left them off. Instead I added a little bow and a button with some linen thread.

The sentiment is from the set "Thank you tabs 1" by Whimsy Stamps. It has been cut out using Whimsy's Tab 1 die.

I would love to enter this card to the following challenges:

Your next stop on this hop is Dena's fabulous blog!

Finally, here is a complete blog hop list in hopping order in case you get lost.

Thank you so much for hopping with us today and I hope you enjoy the new release!

In the lead up to their release, the Whimsy DT and Special Guests are excited to share with you 2 days packed full of previews of these gorgeous stamps.

Here is my creation for today's mini hop.

I used the stamp "Picked Sweet", which I have to say is my personal favorite from this release.
I colored her with my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils.

The beautiful paper is by Prima Markerting (Madeline collection).
I embellished with a few prima flowers and pearls, some linen thread, and flourishes which were cut out using Whimsy's "vines" shapeology die.

I decided to add a little bit of gold glitter to the flowers and the designer paper. The fence on the bottom was punched out with a Martha Stewart punch.

I am entering this card to the following challenges:
