Let's Color Linky Party 3

optional theme (in case you can't decide what to color):
hearts

And this is what I made for today, using a cute Mimi stamp.
Stamped onto xpress it blending card and then colored with copic markers and faber castell polychromos pencils. A pretty simple card, I embellished with some twine and glitter and used my Janome sewing machine around the edges.
The sketch was inspired by this cute card designed by Jill Foster.

This card is available for sale in my etsy shop if you are interested.

Little Valentine Gift Bag

Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing good and are staying warm.
Today  I am sharing a cute little gift bag that'll be perfect for a little Valentine gift. And I already have a very special recipient in mind for this :-)

The gift bag was really easy to make, following a tutorial I found on Splitcoast Stampers.

I started out with a sheet of pink card stock, not sure why it looks like kraft card stock in the photo.
You can find all the measurements in this tutorial

Before adding the pretty image, I embellished the bag with sparkly designer paper, added a die cut border to the flap and tied the sheer pink ribbon. The cute Kitty Ballerina from Whimsy Stamps has been colored with copic markers. To finish it off I added some tiny flowers and pearls. The "scripted love"die cut was done with a new die from Whimsy Stamps, it fit perfectly onto the top part of the flap.

A couple more photos..
Hope you liked my little gift bag today. I definitely had fun making it, and will be making a boy version of this very soon!

Thanks for visiting!!

I added some postage sentiments to the card along with some twine. A little bit of glitter to the ruffles on the dress and the flowers to finish it off.

Poppies for Penny Black and More - Midmonth Creation

Already the 18th of the month, that means it's time for some Penny Black and More inspiration for our January challenge. This month it's all about girly creations. Come join us for a chance at one of the fun prizes. Any brand of stamps is welcome, but it has to be an actual rubber or clear stamp, not digital. You are also allowed to use a Penny Black stickeroo.

For today's mid-month post I used the poppy stamp from the set Blooming Garden. Stamped with memento ink and colored with copic markers.
Then I stamped the poppies again on post-it notes, cut out and used as mask so I could add ink to the background. The music sheet stamp is by Hero Arts. To finish it off I added gold glitter to the blooms and some washi tape with white card stock and a brad as an accent in the corner....kind of wish I left the glitter off...

Whimsy Stamps - January Release and Showcase - Day 3

Happy Friday :-)
It's day 3 of this month's Whimsy Stamps rubber and clear stamp release and showcase. Be sure to visit the Whimsy blog (if you haven't already) to find out how you can enter into one of the 3 prize draws for a chance to win a Whimsy gift certificate.
Today I am sharing a card using the super cute "Woodland Owl" illustrated by Lee Holland, Whimsy's newest illustrator.

Stamped onto express it blending card and colored using copic markers.
I used the following colors for the owl
face and belly: E40, E41, E43
feathers and head: E41, E43, W5 and a little bit of W6
beak: W5 and W9
branch: E41, E43, YG91 and YG93.

I used a simple sketch, image has been fussy cut to add over the circle. I embellished with some twine and glitter in the flower centers. I thought this image would be perfect for a "get well" type card, and since I never have any of those on hand (although I have about a gazillion other cards in my collection) I decided to make this one get well themed. The sentiment is from an older set - Everyday Moments.

I am entering my card here:
Crafting With An Attitude - Anything Goes
Crafty Girls Creations - Always Anything Goes
Fresh Brewed Designs -  Anything Goes
Sisterhood of Crafters  - Something Old, Something New (I used old papers and new image stamp)
And that is all for today. Thank you so much for visiting! Good luck with the prize draws to those of you who are entering.

Whimsy Stamps - January Release and Showcase Day 1

Good morning!
Today is the start of Whimsy Stamps January Rubber and Clear stamp Release and Showcase, and I have a cute card to share with you, using one of the cuties from this release. Be sure to visit the Whimsy Inspirations blog to take a peek at all the goodies releasing today, I think you'll love them :-) We are no longer holding blog hops, but of course there are still chances to win some Whimsy $$ and you can read all about how to enter the prize drawings on the Whimsy blog.

For my card today I used one of Crissy Armstrong's new stamps "Doggie Skywriter".
Isn't it adorable!! I made a "non-traditional colors" Valentine's card with it, perfect for a guy!
Image has been stamped onto copic blending card using memento ink, then colored with copic markers and fussy cut. Papers are from my never ending stash, probably DCWV and some old SU. I love digging through my paper scraps because there is usually something I find to match my image, that I colored. I added a punched border and some twine, then finished off with some paper piercing.

Above is a close up. Isn't this image adorable!!!

I am entering my card here:

Any coloring medium is welcome (pencils, markers, inks, inkpads, chalk, pastels, watercolors, practically anything that gives your project color). You may share anything you colored, although if you are sharing a colored image only, please ensure that it is watermarked. (This is to protect you and the image artist.)

To make this even more fun,  I encourage you to pick one or two random entries to visit and comment on. This is not a requirement, but a fun way to find a new favorite blog and blogging friend.

Occasionally I might mention a theme, but themes will always be optional and mentioned for your inspiration only (in case you can't decide what to color.)
Some Saturdays I will share something I have colored, and some Saturdays I won't. This is depending on how busy my week has been.

Wee Freddie

Good morning!
Time for a little Whimsy inspiration here on my blog, and I decided to color up the cute stamp  "Freddie" from the November release. Such a cutie and I had so much fun coloring him!

After coloring with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils, I fussy cut the image. I left out some of the thin lines when fussy cutting, that's why the little heart is attached right at the end of the tail and not at the end of the thin line as seen on the actual image.
The sentiment is from a Wee set also available at Whimsy Stamps (Flower Fairies). I thought it was perfect to use with Freddie too. It wasn't originally planned to fussy cut the image, but after choosing this pretty paper, that matched my coloring perfectly, I didn't want to cover it up, that's why I decided to cut it out. Unfortunately this paper is  no longer available, it was also from Whimsy. I finished off by adding some extra flowers to the top (which I cut out from this designer paper) and I added some hemp twine. The sentiment has been popped up with dimensionals.

Penny Black and More - January Challenge

Good Morning and Happy Sunday!
Hope your year is off to a great start. We're having a fun new challenge for you at Penny Black and More, this month we'd like to see "something for the girls". I hope you'll come play along with us, we have some fun prizes to give away as usual.

I knew right away that this was the stamp I was going to use. These Penny Black "fashion girls" are my favorite girly stamps, sadly I only have two of these type of stamps.

The image has been colored using copic markers. I had another card in my mind, and started fussy cutting this image. Can you see all the details...needless to say, when I was almost done, I gave up and instead decided it was going to be quicker to just re-color the image in place of finishing the fussy cutting. You can see my first coloring here, this is also where I listed the markers I used. It's pretty much identical to this one.
I decided on this simple sketch. The sentiment is part of the same stamp set. Designer paper is from Prima Marketing. I finished off the card by adding some sequins, twine and did some paper piercing along the side.

I am entering my card here:
