Something Punched

Hello everyone and happy friday!!

Hope you all had a great week. Mine was busy and exiciting. We decided to adopt a second kitty so Thomas has a kitty friend to play with. Well, so far these two have been fighting all the time...
Here's a picture of them not fighting for a change.

We have another fun challenge for you over at stamp something

something punched
.

For my card I used another one of my new Lili of the Valley stamps. I really wish I could get them all. They are so adorable!

It's been stamped using memento tuxedo black ink then sponged all the edges with pale plum ink for a softer look.
I colored it using my derwent coloursoft pencils blended with baby oil, and copic markers for the skin.

The designer papers are from my stash, so I am not sure who the makers are. I embellished with lots of punched out flowers (Martha Stewart Punches), some flourishes (Tim Holtz flourish die), sheer ribbon ( stampin up) and of course stickles glitter. To finish it off I did some sewing with my janome mini.
The sentiment is from a old Stampin Up set.

Here's a closeup of the image, I popped up one of the wings and the flower.

Challenges:

Hope you'll find some time to play along this week. As usual we have a fantastic sponsor...this week it's kut 4 u and there's a great prize up for grabs.

If you happen to use a digistamp why not throw in some buttons, ribbons or/and bling and combine the challenge with this week's Digital Tuesday Challenge for a chance to win another fantastic prize?

And don't forget, there is still time to join us at this month's Penny Black @ All sorts challenge...lots of prizes up for grabs there and weekly mystery prizes too.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Have a great day!!
Ellie.

A clean and simple christmas card

Hello and happy tuesday!

It's time for another fun challenge over at digital tuesday. It's Maria's turn to choose a theme for us and she wants to see

Ribbons, Buttons, Bling

You may use any or all. That is super easy so hope you'll all join in this week!

Our sponsor this week is Fred She Said. Have you checked out their store recently? Lots of gorgeous flowers and cute characters to choose from! Tracey let the Design Team play with her images so be sure to check out the rest of the DT's work.

I have been in the mood of making christmas cards recently (which I am sure you have noticed if you follow my blog), so I chose a couple of christmas digis from FSS. One of them is the gorgeous decoupage set "Emma the hugger". It's my first ever decoupage set.

Everything is pre colored, so all I had to do is cut out the various parts and adhere. I know, it's a lot of paper cutting, but I do enjoy detailed cutting, so it was very relaxing to do. I applied lots of stickles to the snow and snowman and the furry parts on Emma's coat and hat.

I wanted to keep the card simple to show off this gorgeous image. Card stocks used are couture 80lb white and SU night of navy. It's been so long since I used night of navy even though it really is one of my favorite winter colors. To finish this card off I added some night of navy ribbon, punched out the sentinent and added it with some silver cord. I just love how this card turned out!

Below is a closeup of the image.

My card also fits these challenges:

The other set I chose was Christmas Rose. OMG that set is just amazing!! I can't wait to make a card with it. Since I wasn't able to make a second card with this set for the challenge I am showing you a card made by the owner herself.

Card by Fred She Said

Isn't it just stunning!!
Oh, and before I forget, I just saw that there's a sale at their store too, to celebrate world card making day which was this past saturday. You get 25% off of an order of $10 or more. Thought I'd let you all know...Sale ends this friday.

I hope some of you get to join us is this week's challenge, there is a CAN$20 gift certificate up for grabs from Fred She Said. All you have to do is make a card or other project with this week's theme and don't forget to use a digistamp!

If you're up for more fantastic prizes why not join in this week's Stamp Something Challenge with the theme of "Celebrations". And don't forget about Penny Black at All Sorts. It's a monthly challenge blog but this month we are having weekly prizes too.

Have a great day,
Ellie.

Woodland Christmas

Happy Sunday!!

I am so happy I got to make a couple of cards over the weekend.
Here's one of them using another one of my brand new Lili of the Valley stamps. This one is called "Woodland Christmas". OMG I can't believe how cute this stamp is!!

I decided to play in this week's LOTV challenge. The challenge is a sketch by Bev.

I flipped it somewhat to make it work with my image. I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo ink on couture 80lb card stock. It was then colored with derwent coloursoft pencils and baby oil. The edges were sponged using soft sky ink.

I used my favorite christmas paper of this year again, by Bo Bunny, along with some stampin up designer paper. Embellished with some ribbon, snowflakes and of course glitter. To finish it all of I did some sewing with my janome mini.

Here's a close up of the image.

I really wish the sparkles would show up better. It's really sparkly in real life.

Challenges:

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. Hope you liked the card.
I'll be back again on tuesday with a new card.

Have a great day,
Ellie.

"Celebrate something" and some more news

Hi everyone!

Today is my first time participating in the stamp something challenge as a Design Team member. I am super excited to be part of the team!!

The challenge this week is

Celebrations

Our sponsor is Sweet and Sassy and they kindly gave the Design Team images to work with. I used Filmore Fox ice cream treat. Isn't he a cutie!! And so much fun to color.

I used my derwent coloursoft pencils and baby oil for coloring.
Designer Paper is from DCWV (sweet stack) and stampin up. Card stock are couture 80lb (white) and Stampin Up (really rust-retired).
The flowers were made using Martha Stewart Punches and I added some rhinestones as flower centers. Sentiment was computer generated. To finish it all off I did some sewing with my Janome mini. I also added some stickles to the flowers and image, stamped a little flourish in some corners and added ribbon.

Challenges:

Now onto my super exciting news!!

Hope you liked the card and hopefully you'll get to play in this week's Stamp Something Challenge for a chance to win a prize from Sweet 'n' Sassy.
And if you have any Penny Black stamps, why not play the Penny Black at All Sorts challenge? It runs until the end of October.

One last thing...
This is our new kitten, doesn't it look like he's doing the happy dance for me? LOL. Thought it was so cute I just had to share it!

Have a great day,
Ellie.
