Embossed digital stamp - with a new DSO image

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Have you ever tried heat embossing a digital image? I did, this is my first try. I have a bunch of glossy card stock from stampin up and thought I'd give it a try. It worked like a charm. The ink was wet enough to sprinkle some embossing powder over it and heat set with a heating tool. I am so excited!!

Before I started sponging, I used a white crayola crayon to add some highlights where I didn't want my ink to show. Then I used several Stampin Up inks to sponge on some color. I am pretty pleased how this turned out.

This is a brand new image that I finally had the chance to upload to my etsy store. I've been asking my husband to draw a boat image forever, and I really had it for a few weeks now, just never had the time to "clean it up". Well, finally - here it is!

Here's a few challenges I was inspired by.

Cupcake craft challenge - use a digi
365 cards - ad inspired
Corrosive challenge- embossing

Recipe:
digi-stamp: At sea (digital stamp oasis)
ink: HP inkjet, night of navy, not quite navy, almost amethyst, pumpkin pie, summer sun
paper: white glossy card stock (stampin up), night of navy
Accessories and tools: clear embossing powder, white crayola crayon, sponge wedges, brown copic

What a great image, and the card you made with it is inspiring. Thank you for the idea about heat embossing on the glossy cardstock, I will have to try that.
