What a Loot

Had some time yesterday to make a card, and I decided to use the cute stamp "What a Loot" from Whimsy's Crissy Armstrong collection, to play in a few challenges.

I decided to make it a little different from my regular "fold in the middle" cards, and thought I'd give Lori's crisscross card tutorial a try.

 I followed Lori's tutorial from Whimsy's Tips and Tutorial Print Magazine . I made a tag to go into the pocket, using a stamp from the set "Birthday Greetings", also just released in Whimsy's last rubber stamp release.

It's hard to tell in the photo, but I added glassy glaze to the balloon, and glitter on the party hat and bows.

The balloons on the left were done using Whimsy's balloon cluster die. But I cut them apart and only used 2 of the balloons to make it work with my design.

• Tools: balloon cluster die (I cut them apart), square lace doily die (both by whimsy stamps), scallop circle punch (SU), 1 1/4 " circle punch (EK), corner rounder
• Coloring medium: Faber Castell Polychromos pencils
• Embellishments: button, twine, glitter, ribbon, glassy glaze
