Flutterby sweet butterfly

Hello and thanks so much for visiting. If you read my last post, I told you there that my Mojo has been gone and I really hadn't done much papercrafting before that. But what I did do (besides reorganizing my craft area), I looked at several copic tutorials and did some coloring just for the purpose of practicing. (Huge thanks to my Whimsy teamies for encouraging me with the copics!!)

I do like how my coloring turned out, and I realized that if I look at the right tutorials copic coloring isn't really that hard after all.
Tiddly Inks is having a Design Team call at the moment, and since I have been falling in love with these cute characters, I decided to enter my card to the Design Team call. These characters are just so much fun to color, not matter the coloring medium may be.

The image I used for today's card is called Fluttering by to say Hi from Tiddly Inks' Annabelle and Faythe collection.

 Copics used:
 Skin - E000, E00, E11, R00, R20
Hair/Shoes: E31, E33, E35, E37
Dress: B0000, B000, B00, B02,B04
Wings & butterflies: Y00, Y11, Y15, Y17, B0000, B00
Flowers: B0000, B00, B02, B04, E31, E35, E37,
Grass and stems: YG01, YG03, G21, G85, G99
Outline: B0000, colorless blender

Here is another view at the image.

To create my card I went with one of my most favorite sketches. The image was cut out using cirlce nestabilities shape and then layered onto a double doily circle diecut (die from Whimsy Stamps). The designer paper is from one of the packs by My Minds Eye, from Hobby Lobby. I punched out some butterflies and a little flower using the matching designer paper. To finish it off I added some stitching, glitter and twine. The sentiment is from Whimsy's Summer Letter Seals sentiment set. The complete list of products used is below.

I believe the Tiddly Inks DT call is open  until the end of the month. If you'd like to find out more simply click the logo below..

Products used:
Stamps: Fluttering by to say Hi(digi from Tiddly Inks), Summer Letter Seals (Whimsy Stamps), lavish flourishes (Whimsy Stamps)
Papers: My Minds Eye, Neenah, SU
Tools: double scallop circle doily die (Whimsy Stamps), corner die set (whimsy stamps),  circle nestabilities, scallop border punch (Su), flower punch (SU), butterfly punch (MS), janome sewing machine

Embellishments: twine, glitter, brads

Hope you all have a fabulous day,
and good luck to anyone who enters the Design Team Call!!

Ellie this is just stunning, love the image and you have coloured her beautifully, the papers are gorgeous and l like how you have punched the butterfly with a darker colour underneath it gives it a real lift - l may borrow that idea if you don't mind. Love it all x Susan x
