Delicate Florals for Penny Black and More

Hello and happy Sunday! February already, that means time for a new Penny Black and More challenge. We are making it very easy for you this time around. Anything goes it this month's theme. I do hope you'll play along. You may use any stamp company, just no digis and also the main focal point does need to be stamped, but it can also be a Penny Black stickeroo.

I got out my favorite floral stamp set for this challenge - Delicate Florals.

There is just something I absolutely love about these flowers!
I started out by stamping the flower with black ink. Then I masked the blooms with masking fluid. I also flicked the paint brush onto the paper for some random white spots. Once the masking fluid was dry, I inked up the background using distress ink, and stamped the flowers again using the same color distress ink. I also used the the clear heart shaped sentiment from one of Penny Black's newest clear stamp sets on the background. I didn't want to show the complete heart, so I bent the sentiment to randomly stamp some words here and there.
After this was finished, I rubbed off the masking fluid and colored the blooms with copic markers. Sentiment from was added along with some twine to finish it off. I simply rounded the bottom portion of it using a circle nestabilities shape.

Products used:
Delicate Florals, So Very Much
black archival ink, turquoise distress in
Windsor &Newton masking fluid
copic markers, twine

A gorgeous creation Elly, the subtle stamping in the background works so well and then the lovely colour of the bolder flower heads.

Hope you have a good Sunday and if it's as cold there as here, keep warm.

Oooo what a stunning background & I too love that flower.

Ooooo I so loved your comment about Bryan Adams - we could have seen him last year, but the tickets were £65 each ! - although I did see him years ago, when he was support band for Tina Turner !, luv Sam x
