Born to Shop :-)

Funny title from someone who actually doesn't enjoy shopping at all :-) It's just too time consuming...

This fun, girly stamp is from last month's Whimsy Stamps rubber stamp release. When I selected her as one of my choices, I knew I wanted to use the city scape background from a stamp set released last fall.

I wanted the city scape to kind of "fade" in the background, and my ink that doesn't like solid stamps actually helped here :-) I used a stencil on the bottom part of the card for the street.
The image has been stamped with memento black ink and colored with copic markers. I also used a dark brown faber castell polychromos pencil for the hair, along with copics.
The designer paper is really old, I think it's by basic grey. I have so much designer paper, and seem to be using less and less of it too. I might have to challenge myself to use more of it, so I can use some up.
Sentiment is from another favorite Whimsy Sentiment set - Girl Talk. The card is simply embellished with ribbon and twine.
I am playing along here:

Products used:
(all by Whimsy Stamps)
Neenah Card Stock, SU card stock, Basic Grey papers (I think)
SU ink, memento ink
twine, ribbon, stencil
copics and pencil for coloring

What a beautifully designed and executed card Ellie - love the way you have popped the image in the front to really take the eye, and yet the background is interesting enough to want to 'explore' it too.

This is adorable. I love your use of pattern paper. I have tons of it and don't use it. It's hard for me to use two together but that is something I need to work on. I love the colors in her outfit that you used to go with the paper.

I saw this on Instagram and loved it! I didn't enjoy shopping when I was working retail FT, but now that I'm not anymore, I enjoy it once again. Such a fun card. Love the cityscape background and the tire marks. So creative!
