Love, Hearts and Flower for Penny Black and More

Hello everyone and happy Sunday!! Today is the start of the new challenge at Penny Black and More, and fitting for the month of February we're inviting you to join us for the theme of

"Love, Hearts and Flowers"

I started out by masking the edges of my white card front using washi tape. Then inked with Stampin Up's retired Certainly Celery ink and  Distress Ink Picked Raspberry. Stampin Up's retired French Script background stamp was then used on the background using Antique Linen distress ink before removing the washi tape mask.

Next I stamped the rose from the set All Abloom by Penny Black using Versafine onyx ink directly onto the card front. I decided I wanted the roses to pop up a little bit, so I inked a piece of white card stock with Raspberry ink, then stamped the two roses onto this paper, then fussy cut. I used dimensionals to pop up the roses. The sentiment is part of the same set (All Abloom - I do have one still available in my Etsy shop if you're interested!)
The little postmark and cancellation stamp are both from the set  Posted with Love, also by Penny Black. Finally, I stamped a little ornate heart to the right side of the card which is from the PB set  So Very Much. The card front was matted onto a  Neenah CLASSIC LINEN  in Solar White card base. Oh, and after it was all comleted, I did go in with a Faber Castell Polychromos Pencil to add some shading and added some color to the leaves as well.

What a gorgeous card Ellie - love your background, and the over-stamping on the sponging gives it real depth, as does the added layer to the roses.
