December Card Chain Challenge Reveal Day

Year in Review 2022 - Favorite Creations of the Year *Blog Hop* and a Small Prize Giveaway

Today is reveal day at the Card Chain Challenge! My December card went to Marianne in Greece. I do hope she received it as I haven't heard yet from her.

This is the card I made for her:

In December the challenge was this fun Tic Tac Toe Grid and I chose to use the fourth horizontal line.

I used washi tape around the card then inked the square with Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide ink. I stamped the tree line (an old PSX stamp) using the same ink. Then splattered some white paint onto the background.

The image is Penny Black's Jingle Friends, stamped using Versafine Onyx ink and colored with my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils, then fussy cut. As mentioned I heat embossed the image using the same Evergreen Bough ink sprinkled with super fine clear embossing powder. Before adding the image I removed the washi tape and then also added the die cut snowflakes (Penny Black Dancing Snowflake die set). Frosted Lace Stickles was applied to Santa's coat fur trim and the die cut snowflakes.

The clean and elegant inked background makes a beautiful scene for Santa. I also love how the fur trimmings on his outfit look. Wishing you Happy New Year!

Love the soft background with the beautifully coloured cute image! How funny that we not only chose the same row but some of the same techniques too (masking a square and inking it as well as the splatters). Happy new year!
