Hello everyone and welcome to a new "I spy with my little eye" challenge taking place right here on my blog. Pauline and I are back with a new theme and we hope to see you playing along with us this month. There weren't too many entrants last month but some still really beautiful creations so be sure to scroll down to see who made the Top 2, both being invited to join us as guest designers for the next challenge.
This time around it's Pauline's turn to select a theme and it is:
I spy with my little eye..........
Something with Wings.
So many options here and we can't wait to see what you will come up with! The linky tool is at the end of the post but first up are our creations to inspire you.
My card (Ellie)
info below
I started with a previously "smooshed" background from my box of extras, then stamped the Penny Black bird image (Bird's Eye View) and colored with a mix of Zig Clean Color and Distress inks. On the background I stamped some details and wording using the Aall and Create set Follow Your Own Path. That set is a bit grungy and I'm not sure the delicate PB bird image is a good match for the grungy Aall and Create background stamping and sentiments but decided it's not a complete fail so here it is :) I found the diamond die cut pieces in my box of die cut scraps (made with the PB Diamond Border die) so added them to the card. With the grungy additions I decided the edges needed a little bit of distressing so that's what I did before adhering to the card base.
I am entering my card (above) to these challenges:
- Dream Valley Challenges - Feminine
- Everybody-Art-Challenge - Numbers
- Make My Monday - National Picture of a Bird
- Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenges - AG
- Penny Black Saturday Challenge - PB stamps & Numbers
- Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Make Your Own Background
- Stamping Sensations - Spring
- Triple B - Birds, Blooms or Butterflies

Stunning birdie card Ellie … I think the PB bird works perfectly with your soft inky background and wording, and the offset die cut diamonds really make it pop

Sorry; entry 11 isn't correct; can you please ignore this one? Thanks!
I love this soft background. It has just the right color intensity to depict this amazing bird - I think it's a dove - on this beautiful branch. Great details that you stamped on the background. And I believe your wonderful sentiment. It's true that two birds never sing the same song.
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful card with the current challenge of the Everybody Art Challenge.
