I Spy With My Little Eye.......... Something to Celebrate (Challenge No. 28)

Hello and welcome to the new "I spy with my little eye" challenge taking place right here on my blog! Pauline and I are back with a new theme and all are welcome to join in the fun! And don't forget to check out our top picks (below) as they will get the chance to join us as guest designers in the next challenge.

This time it's my (Ellie's) turn to select a theme and it is:

I spy with my little eye...........

something to celebrate!

This can be any type of celebration from birthdays to new baby, anniversary, new home or job, any holiday etc. Any type of celebration will be perfectly fine! We can't wait to see what you'll share with us!

Our creations to inspire you are below:

I used Tracy Evans (for Aall and Create) stamp Temporal for my card today. I've had this for quite some time and embarassed to say that this is my first time using it. Unfortunately this is becoming really hard to find but if you are in the US then you can still purchase at Frantic Stamper. She has 2 in stock as I type this.

The background I used is a slightly inky background (a "mop-up" from a previous project) where I used Distress inks in shades of Salvaged Patina and Wilted Violet. I stamped the image onto the background using Versafine Onyx ink and the butterfly again onto a scrap piece of Bristol Vellum paper. The butterfly was colored using Derwent Inktense pencils then fussy cut. I used a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush all over the butterfly and it sparkles so nicely in real life but unfortunately I couldn't capture the sparkle with the camera. For the wording I used Tracy Evans Boutique Designs set Alpha Florals.
