Baby Angie

Hi everyone,

sorry for the lack of post recently, I have been pretty busy with extra work, so I didn't have much time to make cards recently.

But I do have a card to share today. It's another one that I made for the most recent Whimsy Stamps magazine.

I used the stamp "Angie" from Whimsy's Wee Stamps collection. I just love this cute stamp, and it also comes in a boy version " Angel Cody". Haven't had a chance yet to make a card with it though.

I used my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils for coloring. The papers are from a pack by My Mind's Eye. I embellished with some flowers and pearls, flourishes (which were made  using Whimsy's Vines die).  I also added some ribbon, and sewed the edges. The sentiment on the tag was computer generated, and the "Welcome Baby" is from an old Stampin Up set.

That is all for today,

thanks so much for stopping by!

Just ducky

Good morning everyone! Hope you're having a good week so far.

I have a very busy day ahead of me today, but wanted to share a card that I made for the latest Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Magazine. If you haven't viewed the magazine yet, you really should, as always it's free to look at and soooo amazing. Several amazing tutorials, of course lots of amazing samples by the Designers, and I believe there is even a freebie Shape EZ template to download.

Here is one of the cards I made for the magazine. I used the stamp "Everything's just ducky" from Whimsy's Crissy Armstrong collection.

I just love this cute stamp so much! It's been colored with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils, and I paper pieced the boots and umbrella.

The fence was made using Whimsy's picket fence die.
Of course, like on most of my cards I used a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps too. It's from the set "Celebrations circle pennants" , and I used the circle  pennants die to cut it out.

The clouds were made using a retired clouds template by stampin up. I have really only done a cloud background a couple of times, so  it is nowhere near perfect.

The grass was done by punching out some designer paper (basic grey) using the Martha Stewart grass punch. I added a few  prima flowers with brads and did some paper piercing along the edge to finish it off.

I have to say that I do love how this card turned out and I hope you do too!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great day!

London Celebrations or Jubilee - Penny Black and More

Good morning and thanks so much for stopping by!

It's the first Sunday in May and that means it's time for our new challenge over at Penny Black and More!

Our theme for you this months is

London Celebrations and Jubilee,

a perfect challenge to celebrate all the things going on in London this year, with the summer olympics and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

I do have to admit this was a real challenge for me, I had no clue what to make and don't really have any London specific stamps.  But I did have this adorable stamp "High Spirits" by Penny Black and thought it would be perfect to use for a London Jubilee card.

Designing for

I colored it using my faber castell polychromos pencils. It's a pretty large stamp, so I made a simple card with it. Just added a flower (which I made using a MFT die and cut out several flowers using mulberry paper, then put them together using a brad), did some machine sewing and added the sentiment (Whimsy Stamps Celebration circle pennants and circle pennant die). And since our theme is London Celebrations and Jubilee I used the colors of the British Flag.
I would love to enter this card to the following challenges:
Hope you'll find some time this month to play along. Remember you don't have to use a penny black stamp to  play along, any company rubber or clear stamp works.
We have once again some amazing prizes to be won, thanks to our generous sponsors Penny Black, Stampalot, Crimson Cloud, and Crafts U Love.

Have a great day!!

PS: I have no idea why the little Penny Black and More logo is showing underneath the card. I cannot see it when I am in edit mode, and it still shows up when I publish the post. I am not sure I like this new blogger format...

April Sunshine

Happy Wednesday everyone! Hope you are having a good week so far!

I made today's card using the new Whimsy Stamp " April Sunshine" from the Elisabeth Bell collection.

I decided to dig out my copics for this one,  hated seeing them being neglected, but pencils are just so much easier for me to use...I am not very happy how this coloring turned out. Maybe the image wasn't the right one for me to use with copics. I especially struggled with her hair. Oh well, I just need some practice, if I just had the patience!

The papers are from Prima Marketing (Madeline collection). I embellished with some punched out butterflies, die cut flowers and leaves, some sticky pearls and a button with some white twine.

The beautiful sentiment is from a new set by Whimsy Stamps Raindrop Echo designs - Everyday Sayings Notables 4, and I used the matching Notables 4 die to cut it out.

I am entering this card to the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!!
