Penny Black at All Sorts - September Challenge

Happy first of September everyone!

I am so happy that I am back and creating for Penny Black at All Sorts challenge!!
Penny Black are one of my most favorite brand of stamps, of course they have the most adorable critter stamps, but have you seen their big range of other stamps?? Cute kids, scenery, flowers... they are just amazing. You can view their stamps here. Plus I heard some other exciting Penny Black news too, but not sure if it is all that public yet, so I better not share at this time.

Since it's a new month it is also time for our monthly challenge, and this month the theme is

Get ahead for Christmas.

Perfect theme, as it is only a few more months until christmas.

Here is what I made.

I used a couple of stamps from the clear set "Holly Jolly" by Penny Black to make my card. I bought the set from PB stamps, great service by the way!

I really need to get some new christmas designer paper soon, I was totally uninspired by my christmas papers, so I started looking in my other papers and found this one from a 6x6 Basic Grey pack (I think it's luscious lime). I thought the colors in my paper sort of matched the way I colored the image.
I embellished with some double stitched wasabi ribbon from stampin up, a felt poinsettia with rhinestones (Martha Stewart crafts), applied some glitter to the stars and snow, and then used my sewing machine to finish it off.

I'd love to enter my card to the following challenges:

Thank you so much for visiting today, I hope you liked my card, and hopefully I'll see your entry at Penny Black at All sorts. We have some fun prizes up for grabs again, and you can enter up to 3 times for more chances to win.
And here is what you can win

and

there are going to be several winners!!

I do have another card to share later on today along with some fun news, hope you'll check back then.

and we have a fabulous prize up for grabs from our amazing sponsor Doodle Pantry

In order to be within a chance of winning all you have to do is create something with a bug (or bugs) on it, don't forget to use something digital and link it up at digital tuesday (link in my side bar) ! I hope you'll join us!

Here is what I made.

The Design Team was so lucky to receive the set "ant masquerade" from our sponsor. This set is amazing, it comes with all of the elements seen in my card above, plus may sentiments too. Not only will you receive the set with the image as seen above, they also come as single images too. And all that for the prize of $2.50 WOW!! That is amazing!
Here is a quick image of the whole set

Ant Masquerade

As you can see, my card is pretty simple. I simply colored it using my derwent coloursoft pencils, layered the image onto some kiwi kiss card stock, and then adhered it to the white card base. I did some paper piercing along the top and bottom edges. I thought this party sentiment would be perfect to use with these masquerading ants. It's from the set "mini party letter seals" from Whimsy Stamps. Another amazing set, this one comes in rubber, and you get 15 cling mounted red rubber stamps in this set for $8.

Party Mini Letter Seals

Ok, now here are a few challenges I'd like to enter with this card:
That should be all for today. Hopefully you'll find some time to join us this week!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll be back Thursday with not one but two cards and some fun news too!
Have a great day!!

Say Something Nice

Hello and Happy Friday! Hope you are enjoying your day!

A couple of weeks ago I was the lucky winner of the Cuddly Buddly challenge and received a £10 gift certificate to use in the Cuddly Buddly Store. Have you been to their store?? They have so much to choose from, rubber stamps, digis, dies, punches...

I decided to add a few more digis to my cuddly buddly digi stamp collection, and here is my first card made using one of my new digis, and I followed the theme of this week's cuddly buddly's challenge:
"Say something nice".

This image is by Pachela Studios Toby Tumble special friends.

Loved coloring this! I used my derwent coloursoft pencils blended with baby oil. Papers are from My minds eye. I embellished with punched out flowers and leaves using a Martha Stewart punch, some sticky pearls, ribbon, button, silver cord and glitter. And then I sewed around the edges.

Here is a close up of the cute image.

I am combining the following challenges with this card:
Thanks so much for stopping by! Enjoy your weekend!
