With it being Valentine's Day, of course the theme has an element of love... whether it be friendships, a thank you or even a romantic kiss in Paris... you are sure to feel the love all round.

So if you have just popped by to say hi and stumbled into this hop you may want to

START AT THE BEGINNING!
Otherwise you should have arrived from Frea's fabulous blog.

Here is what I made.
To make my card I used the gorgeous digi "Natalie the painter" by Little Miss Muffet. It has been colored using derwent coloursoft and Faber Castell Polychromos pencils, as well as some copics for the skin tones.

After coloring I cut the girl and easel out and adhered to Whimsy Stamps brand new background stamp "Notebook Page" from the Raindrop Echo collection, just released TODAY!

The paper that you see behind all this was made by printing out one of the brand new Paris Elements complete scene by Make it Crafty. I used the direct to paper technique to give it some color.

The postage stamp on the top left and the "paris" postmark that you can see stamped on the Notebook page on the bottom left are from the set "Vintage Postage Stamps" from the Raindrop Echo collection by Whimsy Stamps, also just released.

I embellished with some lace and diecut flowers and brads. The beautiful flourishes were made using Whimsy's "vines" shapeology die. To finish it off I added a notebook spiral die cut and a couple corner dies, both from Whimsy Stamps Shapeology die collection. Both of these dies are brand new today!

The sentiment "Cherished Friend" is from the set Friendship Notables 2 from an earlierWhimsy Stamps release. I used a brand new chipboard frame, available at Make it Crafty, to frame it. This frame fits Whimsy Stamps friendship notables 2 die and sentiments. They are amazing and so beautiful. And they are available in a few other shapes too, matching other Whimsy stamps and dies. If you are in the US you can also buy those chipboard frames at Whimsy Stamps.

I'd love to enter my card to the following challenges:

Penny Black and More - Feburary Challenge

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you are having a good weekend so far!

It's the first Sunday of the month, and that means we have a new challenge for you over at

Penny Black and more.

This time we have a Bingo challenge for you...but not just a bingo challenge, it's a color bingo. Hope you can play along with us!

Here is what I made. The color combination I chose from the bingo grid below are

Kraft -Green- Blue

I had a little hard time deciding which one of my Penny Black stamps to use for this challenge, but then thought this cute little puppy would be perfect to use with the colors I chose. He is from the clear set "Critter Party".

The sentiment is from the set Friendship Notables 2 by Whimsy Stamps. I cut it out using the Whimsy Shapeology die Noteables 2.

Papers are from Stampin Up (kraft a.k.a crumb cake and bashful blue), designer paper is from my stash, I believe it's by bo bunny. The image was stamped onto neenah white and then colored with derwent coloursoft pencils and baby oil. I sponged the edges using bashful blue ink, and then some caramel ink on the white around the puppy.

It's a really simple card, I just added the punched edges (SU scalloped edge punch) to the designer paper edges, and then to finish it off I added the button with some linen thread.

I'd like to combine this with the following challenges:

Thank you so much for visiting today, I hope you will play along with us for a chanceto win one of the several prizes up for grabs. Simply click the logo below to go to the Challenge blog.

Don't forget you don't have to use a Penny Black stamp to play. You may use any company, just not any digital stamps.

Valerie's Spring Rain

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by!

It's been way too long since I last used this cute stamp by Crissy Armstrong. It's called "Valerie's Spring Rain" and can be purchased at Whimsy Stamps.

Photobucket

It's been stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah solar crest, and colored with Derwent Coloursoft and Prismacolor Pencils.

I cut the image out and layered it onto a nestabilies label which was layered about half way under the strip of wood designer paper. I used a simple sketch again, added one of the Everyday Postage Stamp Sentiments from Whimsy's Raindrop Echo collection, and cut it out using the Whimsy mini postage die, then embellished with some ribbon, button with twine, a layered prima flower and some flourishes from the Vines Shapeology die, also from Whimsy Stamps. To finish it off I paper pierced around the top part of the card.

I would love to enter my card to the following challenges:
Enjoy your weekend!
