A flower for you

This week was my birthday and I treated myself to some new goodies to play with! I just love being able to choose some of my own birthday presents!!

One of the things I got is a new "popcorn the bear" stamp set. So so cute! I also have been wanting to try the Derwent coloursoft pencils ever since I "met" Anne-Marije. Her coloring is just amazing. You have to check it out!

I didn't really need another form of coloring since I own a lot of copics and prismacolor pencils (and watercolor pencils and pastels). These are very similar to prismacolor pencils but I think their lead is a lot softer (IMO) which made it so easy to blend with gamsol. And they are so much easier to work with (for me) than copics. I only got the pack of 24 pencils but will be ordering more of them individually.

So here is my card using Popcorn the bear colored with Derwent coloursoft pencils.

I kept it pretty simple, just used a pretty paper from Bo Bunny (I think), some stickles glitter and a ribbon for embellishing. Card base is Kraft card stock from stampin up.

Thanks so much for visiting me today, hope you liked my card!!

Have a great day,

I started with 24 pencils too, but now I've got all the 72 pencils. My dad has made a very useful colourchart for me... I'm going to mail one to you, so you can use it if you want...
The pencils are so fantastic to colour.
Oh by the way...Congratulations with your birthday!!! I didn't know that it was your birthday...So couldn't concgratulate you earlier.

  7. Love your card...and Happy Birthday!!!

  8. Adorable! Your coloring is amazing. Will have to check out these pencils! Thanks for the tip.

  9. What a sweet card! Your coloring is fantastic! You did such a great job on the shading. I've been wanting to try prismas for a while -- so far I've only used copics, which I love, but I do like the softer texture of the pencils as well. I'll have to look into Derwent now too and see which one will work best for me.

  10. Oh, and Happy Birthday!
