Elephant with Flower

Happy Thursday everyone! Seems like winter isn't quite ready to leave us yet, I woke up to some sleet and frozen car windows this morning, I wasn't expecting this after the beautiful spring-like weather we had over the weekend.
But at least I used some sunshine yellow on today's card :-)

The adorable elephant image - Elephant with Flower - is a rubber stamp released last month from Whimsy Stamps. I colored the cutie with my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and used baby oil for blending.
I thought the mini chalkboard greetings sentiments would work well with the elephant, so I used a birthday sentiment from that set (also from Whimsy Stamps). Designer paper is from a 6x6 paper pack that I recently purchased from Hobby Lobby.
The image has been adhered to the card using 3D tape to give the card some dimension. Sentiment was heat embossed using versafine onyx ink and clear embossing powder.

Below are a couple closeups.

This card is newly listed in my Etsy Shop if you're interested.

Awwww, such a sweet card! Love the image, and the yellow flower with the grey elephant is the perfect color combo. March is such a frustrating month isn't it? We're suppose to get snow tonight, and then its going to warm up this weekend with temps in the 50s and 60s next week. Unbelievable!
