A Christmas Wreath for Allsorts Challenge

Good morning! It's time for a new theme at Allsorts challenge, luckily everything seemed to work out ok with my card upload last week at the challenge blog and hopefully it'll continue that way.

This week it's Wendy's turn to host and she chose the theme of "Got to be Christmas". Everyone is welcome to join in and be in the drawing for a cute stamp set by Woodware. Just be sure to follow our simple rules which you can find on the challenge blog.

Please note, some of the links included are affiliate links, meaning I may earn a small commission if you purchase something through the links. As always this is at no cost to you! Thanks so much for supporting this blog!

I had started coloring up this image a few weeks ago but never finished the card and decided it was perfect for this challenge. This is an old stamp by PSX. No longer in production but you may find it on eBay or Etsy. I stamped with Versafine Onyx ink and colored with my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils. On the background I used the background stamp Christmas Story by Penny Black with Antique Linen Distress ink. The edges were sponged and distressed for some added interest.

The sentiment is from the Penny Black set Brush Pines stamped with Walnut Stain Distress ink. Gingham paper is from my stash, it's really old from my early days of paper crafting but in perfectly good condition. On the left side I used some chocolate chip card stock from Stampin Up.

Jute twine is by May Arts, I added it along with an eyelet which I set with my crop-a-dile tool. I don't use eyelets often but still have a ton from when they used to be popular and they do add an interesting detail.

Thanks so much for visiting today!
