Ellibelle's Crafty Wednesday - October Challenge: Any Celebrations and Holidays

Hello and welcome to the October Crafty Wednesday challenge right here on my blog! I'm so glad you stopped by today and decided to check out this month's optional theme and I'd love to see you joining in too! There were some fabulous entries last month so be sure to scroll down to see who my top picks were!

Before I announce the new theme, I wanted to let you know, that next month only - November - Ellibelle's Crafty Wednesday challenge will begin on Monday instead of Wednesday. There is a good reason behind it but I will let you know why next month :-)

And here is my card:

I decided to make CAS card using a cute Penny Black stamp from the set Wonderful, which is an older set by oh so cute! 

Stamped using  Versafine Onyx ink and I colored with a mix of distress inks and Zig Clean Color markers. The image has then been fussy cut using my Cutterbee scissors.

The white background has been embossed with a simple dotted embossing folder - options here. The wood textured patterned paper I've had in my box of paper scraps for a long time, thought it was the perfect one to use here. 

The birthday sentiment is from the Penny Black set Sprinkles and Smiles. After stamping it, I used a circle die to cut it out, then trimmed along 3 of the edges before adhering to the card.

Not my best coloring, as I waited once again until the last minute to make my card, so I rushed a bit.  One of these days I will learn to work ahead LOL!
