Santa and Penguin

Hello and thanks so much for stopping by!

I made today's card for the current ABC challenge - Z is for Zoo, combined with a few others.
I decided to dig out my Craft UK stamp set "Santa and Penguin". As you can see my animal is a cute little Penguin, Santa's little friend.

I edited my blog post to add another card. This was actually the card that I had first in mind, using this cute stamp "Santa and Penguin" by Craft UK, but then I decided to make the other one below this one, to use the colors of red and green instead of the blue.

Now seeing both cards, I think I like this one below more.

To make the card above, I tore some white card stock and adhered it onto the designer paper to create a hill. The image was then adhered onto that card front. Like on the card below, I used the same sentiment, and added a snowflake which was made using one of Whimsy Stamps' layered snowflakes dies, with little clear heart shaped button and some silver cord. I am not sure who the maker of the Designer paper is, I just found it in my stash, it might be by the Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.

Also, I was asked by a few people where I purchased this stamp set, I personally bought it off ebay (UK site), and when I did a google search I saw that it is available at this store in the UK, but I have never ordered from that store, and have no idea if this is a reliable store.

Here is the first card that I made using this stamp.

I stamped the image onto Neenah card stock, then colored with my faber castell polychromos pencils. The image has then been completely cut out. The designer paper is from a really old pack by Stampin Up. I added the sentiment which is also part of the set by Craft UK, then a little bit of ribbon.
to finish it off I did some sewing and added a little bit of glitter. The image was then adhered onto the embossed white paper.

I am combining a few other challenges here too:
As mentioned above, ABC challenge - Z is for Zoo animal, at ABC Christmas Challenge anything goes, so I am entering it there too. At Stampavie and More they want to see stitches, Bows or ribbon at Crafty Sentiments, Things with Wings at Top Tip Tuesday, and then  at Stamp and Create the theme is Winter Wonderland. Totally Stampalicious  has the theme of Christmas, and at Cute Card Thursday the theme is Gitter.

Thanks again for stopping by!
Hope you are enjoying the rest of your day!

You created a very hard decision making choice! Looked several times at each card, trying to decide. I'm gonna have to go with #1! (Maybe cuz I like blues better?) Both are just as cute as can be, in each color run. The sparkly blue -- ah, maybe says Christmas & snow more to me (but then...reds & green are traditional?) OK, I'm back to undecided! Can I choose both???Tnx for sharing 2 beautifully made cards. Hugs

Can you tell I'm having a really senior moment or two Ellie. I just commented on a card from months ago, how I landed there I've no idea at all.

So let me start again and say the image on this one is so sweet and how effective the snow looks.
