Four Seasons November Challenge - Clocks and Acorns

November is here and that means it's the last month of "Anything Fall Goes" at the Four Seasons challenge for this year. As always, there is a mood board to inspire you but it is up to you to use it or not. Anything Fall related is welcome!

Here is what I came up with this month inspired by the bottom right image of an acorn. I immediately thought of this stamp by Aall and Create - Garden Times #979.

This post may include some affiliate links, meaning I may earn a small commission if you purchase something through the links. As always, this is at no cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting this blog!

I started by stamping the image onto the background softening the edges of the script a little bit (the script on the background is part of this stamp and in a rectangular form.) I originally inked this up using Vintage Photo and Peeled Paint Distress inks.

Next I added some more stamping on the background with more stamps from Aall and Create - Pinecone #389 and Clocks & Flowers #558.

I decided that the acorn wasn't standing out enough after I had stamped the word "Autumn" so I stamped it again using Ground Espresso Oxide ink (which is the same ink I used on "Autumn", "Minute by Minute" and the leaves in the corners. The acorn was then fussy cut and the flower inside the acorn colored with Wild Honey Distress ink. Unfortunately the brown ink mixed with the wild honey so I didn't get a nice yellow flower but this time of year most flowers still around do look rather brown-ish so it worked out.

This is absolutely wonderful, Ellie. I love everything about it. The clock and time references, the colors, acorn and "Autumn" are so appropriate today since Daylight Savings Time has ended here I live and we turned the clocks back. Really great card!
