I knew I wanted to use a Penny Black cat stamp for my card and decided on this cute one called "Cat Bath", then added a couple of cute mice from the set "Micey Day" and also used one of Lavinia's Dandelion silhouette stamps to create the garden scene. I'm sorry the other two stamps are old and I don't have a link, but you may be able to find them on eBay.
Happy Sunday! I decided to join in with Lysha's photography challenge again this week and here are this week's prompts.
Every weekday morning - waiting on my coffee to be done with a glass of water nearby and visiting blogs, checking email, etc. in the kitchen where I keep my computer. I love my mini French press!
Hello and welcome!
It's time for a new theme at Allsorts challenge where Brenda wants to see "Beautiful Blooms" and I hope you decide to join us this week! As much as I love working on Christmas cards in December, once January is here I am ready to move to spring like cards with pretty colors so this challenge was right up my alley! We do have a beautiful floral stamp set by Rare Earth to give away to one lucky winner but you can't win unless you play along! As always you may use any of your products, there is no company restriction and anyone is invited to join in!

Happy Sunday! I'm joining in with the I Spy Photography challenge hosted by Lysha of A Camera and A Cookbook again this week and had fun finding things to photograph to fit the photography prompts. Anyone is invited to join in and Lysha does post the prompts for the following challenge is posted on her blog each Saturday with her post, so you can take pictures ahead of time.
Hungry for ice cream
It's always a bad idea to go grocery shopping with an empty stomach. By the time I was back in the freezer department I was starving and one of my favorite ice creams came home with me and I ate half of this before starting to cook dinner!
I'm sharing two photos for details, couldn't decide with one to share!
Hello and welcome!
Today a new theme starts at Allsorts challenge where it's Helene's turn to host. Her theme is "Something New" and our prize is a beautiful die set by Tattered Lace. Hope you decide to join in with us for your chance to win!
I didn't get any new crafty goodies for Christmas, but did purchase a few new stamps last fall and my "new" is one of the stamps from that order. It's such a pretty one and I can't believe I haven't used it yet!

Hello and welcome!
I decided to join in Hero Arts Stay Crafty challenge this month and their January theme is "Hearts". These cute images are actually part of a Christmas set, but when I purchased the set I intended to use these cats on a love/valentines themed card. I just never got around to doing it until now :-)
Happy Sunday!
I recently came across a new Photography challenge and since I do enjoy photography so much (although I'm not very good at it), I decided to join in :-) Check it out at A Camera and a Cookbook, maybe some of you would like to share too! This is the first challenge and I'm not sure that I can manage to share each weekend, but I will try.
The photography prompts for this week are:
First (short) hike of 2021 at a local park
Dried Flowers saved from an old bouquet of flowers.
A very old doily made either by my mom or grandma that's been in my family for as long as I remember and I brought it with me when I moved to the States.
And I used a photo app to make the photo old.
All pictures were taken with a Canon DSLR camera.
Hello and welcome!
I made today's card for our new theme at Allsorts challenge where Lynn is hosting and she selected the theme of "Favorite Color". Hope you'll join us for a chance to win. This week our prize comes from Pinksy Doodles. I decided to use the beautiful Dogwood Floral Digi on today's card.
I must say I have several favorite colors, and purple, lavender or lilac is definitely one of them! Of course I just now (as I type this) realized I confused the Dogwood tree (which blooms in either white or pink) with the Eastern Redbud which blooms in a beautiful purple, and I gave this image the wrong color....

To make this particular card, I first printed the image (twice) onto white card stock, then used the faux shiplap technique above. Next I colored the leaves on this image panel with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and I used the flowers from the other printed image which I fussy cut after coloring to add to the shiplap image panel. Some pearly accent dots were added to the flower centers.
An old script stamp (options) was used around the image with Versafine Onyx ink for some interest. My script stamp is cling so I can bend it and use only portions of the stamp. The image panel was layered onto some pastel purple card stock and then adhered to a white card base.
Thanks so much for visiting!
