Hello everyone! March has arrived and that means "Spring has Sprung" at the Four Seasons challenge blog as we are now in full spring mode! And I am ready for it!! As always, you may share anything related to the current season but we do have a fabulous optional moodboard to inspire you.
Here is my card:
I can't say that there is a spring flower I don't love, but Daffodils are probably my favorites (right along with the the delicate snow drops), so I decided to use this beautiful digi "Dancing with Daffodils" from Power Poppy. I used my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils for coloring. I printed the image twice because I wanted to use foam tape to pop up the large blossom, so that one has been fussy cut.
After coloring I placed the Rectangle Extraordinaire stencil from MFT over the card and inked up the inside with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. The sentiment is from an old Stampin Up Easter stamp set. Some green jute twine by May Arts was added to the card and Stickles glitter glue applied to the flower centers.
A close up below:
Our optional mood board is below. As you can see I was inpired by the beautiful bouquet of daffodils and grape hyacinth. No grape hyacinth in my bouquet but I went with a similar color scheme.

A gorgeous Spring card, colored and designed so beautifully, love the light stenciling around those beautiful flowers, daffodils are my favorite spring flower though I do love them all! You should enter this in our stencil fun challenge!
ReplyDeleteOh Ellie ... this is absolutely beautiful! Your coloring is so soft & perfect and I LOVE how you've showcased that bouquet! Yes spring flowers in bloom really make me happy ... it means sunshine & warmer days are ahead. My daffodils are actually ready to POP ... it's too early but I guess they are as confused by our temperatures as I am! LOL Beautiful inspiration my friend ... well done!

I agree Daffodils and snowdrops are my favourites. Lovely card, so I’m off to buy the image myself.
