The Gifts of Spring

Hello everyone! March has arrived and that means "Spring has Sprung" at the Four Seasons challenge blog as we are now in full spring mode! And I am ready for it!! As always, you may share anything related to the current season but we do have a fabulous optional moodboard to inspire you.

Here is my card:

I can't say that there is a spring flower I don't love, but Daffodils are probably my favorites (right along with the the delicate snow drops), so I decided to use this beautiful digi "Dancing with Daffodils" from Power Poppy. I used my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils for coloring. I printed the image twice because I wanted to use foam tape to pop up the large blossom, so that one has been fussy cut.

After coloring I placed the Rectangle Extraordinaire stencil from MFT over the card and inked up the inside with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. The sentiment is from an old Stampin Up Easter stamp set. Some green jute twine by May Arts was added to the card and Stickles glitter glue applied to the flower centers.

I'm entering this card to Power Poppy's Blossom Challenge where the challenge is to use a Power Poppy stamp or sentiment and a pretty inspiration photo. While I didn't create a seaside floral card as in the inspiration photo, I did use some colors from their inspiration photo - blue and green, so hopefully it is eligible.

Our optional mood board is below. As you can see I was inpired by the beautiful bouquet of daffodils and grape hyacinth. No grape hyacinth in my bouquet but I went with a similar color scheme.

This challenge runs until March 25th and hope you'll join in with us!

Thanks so much for visiting!

PS: I've also just posted my March Crafty Wednesday Challenge, and I hope you'll stop by and share all your crafty makes there! It's Anything Goes!

Just beautiful Ellie, so nice to see all the Spring card popping up in blogland as even if it's cold outside still makes us think of brighter days.

Oh Ellie ... this is absolutely beautiful! Your coloring is so soft & perfect and I LOVE how you've showcased that bouquet! Yes spring flowers in bloom really make me happy ... it means sunshine & warmer days are ahead. My daffodils are actually ready to POP ... it's too early but I guess they are as confused by our temperatures as I am! LOL Beautiful inspiration my friend ... well done!
